Worth it
The room was very clean and overall the condition was comfortable. The scenery was amazing off the patio except there is a lot of vehicle traffic below the hotel on the highway so the scenery gets lost in the traffic noise. Updates to the bathroom were needed and supplying more up to date items (microwave/fridge) in the room would be beneficial. The restaurant was excellent. It’s worth trying this out, the location to RMNP was great just be prepared to spend some $.

The view was absolutely incredible from our room. They even brought us coffee in the morning and left it at our door so we could sit and drink coffee on the balcony. They also custom made us breakfast in the morning. The experience was incredible.

Wonderful quiet resort. Coffee service in the morning was a wonderful treat. Only negative was the size of the hot tub, it is extremely small for the entire resort to share.

This property sits outside of town in a picturesque setting. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The place is kept immaculately. Although it got warm a couple of days while we were there, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck for breakfast and coffee the other mornings. It was a relaxing oasis. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

The Tahara is a very nice property and would stay there again! It’s just outside of town and east to get to. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. We also had a nice patio to drink coffee on in the morning. The breakfast is cooked to order and was amazing! (Very friendly staff). My only suggestions are: (We stayed in the Mountain Jim room). The a/c needs to be fixed as soon as possible and the water pressure in the shower needs adjusting-it had an extremely, extremely, slow flow rate.

The property was beautiful and clean. Lots of Parking. The steakhouse has exceptional food. Breakfast was great but didn’t like that we had to put a time down that we would be there. Wish there was more staff on hand for questions about the room or property.

Taharaa Mountain Lodge is a great place to stay in Estes Park. The rooms are clean and quiet, with excellent views of the mountains. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lodge is a few miles outside of Estes Park, but it is just a few minutes to town and an easy drive to the entrance to Rocky Mt National Park. The lodge provides an excellent breakfast and has a nice restaurant onsite for dinner. As an added bonus, the lodge recently installed two Blink Level 2 chargers for electric vehicles. Taharaa is a great option when visiting Rocky Mt.

Great stay..
This is our 2nd stay and both rooms were great. Stanley Steamer and Dunraven. Overall fantastic location and lodge. Service and staff were great. The beds are very comfortable and great balconys. I do have a few suggestions. Add a small refrigerator in the room and a small common area microwave/ coffee station. Logistically this may not work but it would be a huge convenience.. Thanks again for the great weekend stay and we wjll be back again soon.

Think of Taharaa Mountain Lodge as a small hotel-style bed & breakfast nestled on the side of a mountain with incredible views! The Twin Owls Steakhouse adjoining the hotel provided a superb dining experience for a special occasion dinner while on vacation. The limited availability of hotel staff outside of the morning breakfast hours or the 3 to 5 pm check-in window each day is unusual and requires more attention to logistical details to correct minor issues (like needing more bath towels).

Taharaa Lodge is a lovely place to stay for a visit to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff are outstanding—friendly and helpful. The morning coffee tray delivery and fresh-made breakfast are an absolute treat. I was there during a very hot week and the AC was struggling to keep my room comfortable, but it was manageable and I’m sure that ordinarily that’s not an issue, since it’s rarely that hot in Estes Park. Each room has a private balcony and a gas fireplace. The Lodge is just a couple of miles outside of the hustle and bustle of the town, and only a short drive from the nearest RMNP entrance. There is a small, outdoor hot tub on site, a lovely sauna, and a small spa area if you want to book a massage.

Describe our stay in one word...Disappointing We stayed at the lodge just after the July 4th. Booked off Orbitz for $324 a night. With taxes the room was over $400 per night (which is a lot for us). The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was a course in how to unlock the doors. "Little key big door, big key little door" is the phrase to remember plus the 3 digits for door with the punch code lock for access to the building and your room. There is no luggage carts or staff to take your bags to the room making the entry real pain. Electronic locks with pass cards are much more convenient. The room was clean had a private balcony with nice views. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and provide a restful sleep. That is until 0515 hrs when the sun rises over the ridge to the east and rifles through the windows. Yes there are blinds on some of the windows but no blackout curtains. By 0530 the room is glowing brightly with the morning rays. So let's get up sit on the balcony enjoy the splendor of the mountain morning while drinking that fresh cup of coffee. Great idea except there was no in room coffee pot. If you want coffee you must fill out a request form the night before and place it in your pigeon hole with your rooms name on it. Around 0700 they deliver a carafe, that is only half full, with 2 cups. Basically you get one cup of coffee. Bottom line Taharaa is pretty 2nd rate for AAA $$. Would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your feed back. We appreciate any and all comments. As for the tour, upon check in,we try to give all of the information that you may need during your stay. We are a small lodge, and want everyone to feel safe and secure. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the fresh made coffee left outside of your door each morning, as that is one of the amenities that people usually give good reviews for. That and our fresh home made breakfasts set us a part from corporate venues. We are small and unique, but that's not comfortable for everyone. Thank you for staying with us.

Some of the amenities exspected were not functional, (hot tub). The room and view was spectacular. The breakfast was really good. Coffee at your door by 7am was great. Other guest were having issues with AC in there room and it seemed to be dismissed and not addressed as maybe it should have been. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

A very warm and friendly atmosphere. We arrived and were greeted by a concierge who gave us a personal tour. We were also happy to find a wonderful dinner restaurant on site. Also, each morning, coffee arrived at our room before we went down to a lovely breakfast. The rooms were cozy with a private outdoor patio and a gas fireplace in the room.

Taharaa Mountain Lodge
This was an excellent boutique lodge (18 rooms). There was no phone, radio alarm, or coffee pot. All three were not needed because we have cell phones and coffee was served in a carafe at 7 am. Changing times. Free hot breakfast from a 4 choice menu. The view was awesome of the mountains, except for the huge trees. Included a balcony and a fireplace.

Breakfast is very good; dated decor; main areas and rooms were cold but staff provided extra space heater and a duvet upon request and this helped. Loved the bed linens which were very soft. Nice fireplace. Not much room or space if you want to eat in room. TV has very limited options for programming and it’s difficult to see the TV from the sitting area.
