Find hotels in Eriskay from CA $147

The best time to go to Eriskay is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During this period, you'll experience longer daylight hours, with the sun often setting late in the evening, sometimes past 10 p.m. This provides ample opportunity to explore the island's natural beauty, such as Prince's Beach, where Bonnie Prince Charlie first landed in Scotland. The average temperatures range from 12°C to 16°C, making it comfortable for outdoor activities like walking and wildlife spotting.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate the summer months. The island is less crowded than many other destinations, offering a chance to enjoy the serene landscapes and stunning coastal views without large numbers of tourists. You can enjoy leisurely strolls along the beaches or explore the quiet roads, perhaps spotting some of Eriskay's famous wild ponies.

Families will also find the summer ideal for a visit. The milder weather and longer days mean children can spend more time outdoors, whether it's building sandcastles on the beaches or exploring the island's history.
