"Great location central to the town and next to the harbour - restaurants and bars next door - rooms well maintained- great breakfast- what’s not to like!"

"Really nice hotel at the price point. Friendly helpful staff and excellent buffet breakfast. Parking was a bit tricky as it is on the road outside and fairly full whilst we were staying but we always managed to find a space. Very good location for beach / shops etc. Double bed seemed a bit small but comfy enough. Would certainly stay there again and will recommend to friends."

"The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the fan provided was barely adequate, (oh for some air conditioning). The receptionist was rather abrupt, & the parking was rather hit & miss. The bar was very comfortable & the staff there pleasant. The restaurant airy & the staff pleasant. Food good. Overall stay was quite pleasant."

South Sands Hotel

"A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall we enjoyed staying there very much."
