My room was lovely with a lot of beautiful wood. The front desk were wonderful. There is a walking trail right beside the hotel and a bus stop very close to the hotel. The hotel restaurant was very good and there was even a bakery.

Réservation de dernière minute à cause d’une tempête de neige dans les Alpes. Belle trouvaille dans ce petit paradis de Semedan. Personnel accueillant et chaleureux, chambre propre et hyper silencieuse, excellent déjeuner inclus. Il y avait plusieurs belles prestations offertes (piscine, spa, bar à vins) mais nous n’avons pas eu le temps d’en profiter. Nous reviendrons…

We stayed here the night before catching the Glacier Express, and I can’t say enough wonderful things! To start the property and our room was beautiful! It was a short walk from the train station, which was convenient! But the best part about this place was the staff! They were all unbelievably friendly, helpful and all around amazing! Great place to overnight when taking the trenino rosso del Bernina. The train stops right at the hotel. Room #5 in the satellite building provides amazing views of the mountains. Lots of hiking trails close by including an easy flat path to Morteratsch glacier. Dinner was a little expensive. Buffet breakfast had lots of variety including fruits and vegetables.

Super beautiful romantic hotel. They upgraded our room just because no one was using the superior room, super beautiful bathroom and nice bed, beautiful restaurant and mountain views. I will advise that the town is pretty dead during the time we were there (start of may) with nothing open. If you are looking for a calm day to relax after a hike , it's a great place, but there is not much to do other than hike and there is no food other than the hotel.
