The best area to stay in Els Masos De Pals is typically within the main village itself or the immediate surrounding countryside for a tranquil escape.

The village of Pals is a beautifully preserved medieval settlement, offering a step back in time. Its narrow, cobbled streets wind around the Gothic Quarter, leading to landmarks like the Torre de les Hores (Clock Tower) and the Church of Sant Pere. Many of the accommodations here are converted historic buildings, providing a unique stay with modern comforts.

Couples looking for a romantic and quiet getaway will find the village of Pals ideal. You're within walking distance of charming restaurants serving local Catalan cuisine and small artisan shops. The elevated position of the village also offers lovely views of the surrounding Empordà plains.

For families, staying slightly outside the main village, perhaps in a villa or a larger property with a pool, can be a great option. These properties often provide more space and amenities, allowing children to play freely.

The best time to go to Els Masos de Pals is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September.

These months offer pleasant weather for exploring the Costa Brava without the intense heat or crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find temperatures are warm enough for comfortable beach days and outdoor activities, but the villages and beaches are much quieter, providing a more relaxed experience. It's an excellent time for couples seeking a peaceful getaway or families who prefer a less bustling environment.

July and August are also popular, especially for families with school-aged children, as this is when the weather is warmest and the sea is ideal for swimming. However, be prepared for higher prices, more people, and booking well in advance. While lively, it can be a very busy time, particularly in the coastal towns nearby.
