"We had a great experience and stay at the lake house. Our host, Laurie, was phenomenal. Communication was excellent. It was the perfect spot for us to get together with our friends and their families. There was plenty to do inside and outside. It was a very relaxing lake trip with great fishing as well."

"Great place to stay for the weekend to explore the Flint Hills. We spent time in Council Grove and the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Space was comfy and well-decorated. We did not cook at home so can't say for sure everything needed is there but it seemed to have the basics. There was food in the fridge, not sure if it was left by the last renters or for us by the owner. It appeared unopened but the items were odd - OJ, yogurt, flavored water, and Sprite Zero. The area was quiet, even with a bar across the street. There are other occupants in the building and shares a wall with a bookstore, but noise was not an issue. I have never seen so many sparrows in one place, including nests by the master bedroom and front door. Also didn't realize sparrows are awake all night, but this isn't anything the owner can control. Bed was very comfortable- we regretted not looking for the brand before leaving. Once we arrived in town we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We loved Riverbank Brewing and Saddlerock Café. Hays House was disappointing despite the good reviews. Christy was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We have been vacationing in Council Grove since 2012 and have stayed in a variety of accommodations over the years. Without a doubt, this was the best place we’ve experienced. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The attention to detail and overall hospitality truly set it apart. We made wonderful memories here and are already looking forward to returning. We will definitely be back!"

"Great place. Lots of room. Just 2 of us, but plenty of space to spread out. I should have inquired abt steps/stairs for my mother but that’s my fault. Bathrooms are lovely, and the larger family room is great and comfortable, love the windows and natural light. Washer and dryer came in handy."
