Hiking in the sunshine? Kayaking or shopping? Coffee on the deck watching the birds? This clean and bright apartment is close to everything you may want to do!! Shopping, antiquing, great restaurants, hiking, biking, sight seeing, beaches, Bar Harbor Airport (BHB), Acadia National Park, bird sanctuary, close to lamoine beach. It is very centrally located yet quiet and private in a wooded setting! The apartment is a NEWLY renovated open concept second floor apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom. The master bedroom has a king sized bed with lots of storage and a TV. The the second bedroom has two double beds, lots of storage and a TV!! , plenty of seating for family game night or watching the news on the flat screen TV. There is AC through out the apartment for those warmer summer days! The kitchen appliances are all NEW. There is plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils to cook if you want to!! There are 2 coffee pots, a keurig and a drip kind. The owner supplies spices, coffee, tp, paper towels, shampoo, and soap. This is CLEAN, spacious family space, beautifully decorated in nautical themes. You have access to the garage for parking, and a washer and dryer on the first floor off of the garage. This is a luxurious space meticulously maintained by the owner. He is very attentive to guests, if there is anything you may need while you are here!! We had a wonderful experience from check in all the way thru check out. The property has everything you could want, and more. James was a great host. He helped us bring our luggage up the stairs and recommended plenty of attractions and nearby restaurants. We loved how close this was to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The quiet street this apartment is located off of was great. We had some rainy weather during the first part of our stay and James even offered to let us stay another night on him. We had plans back in Portland so we could not take him up on the offer. We were surprised and very gracious for such a kind offer. Next time we are back in the area, we will stay here again. This 2 BR unit had everything we needed. James is a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with, helpful ( He even carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs to the unit). Beds were very comfortable.Area was quiet. We enjoyed looking a birds & wild turkeys out our window. Be aware the unit is up a flight of stairs which is clearly stated & shown in the pictures. All the rooms were a nice and comfortable size and it was well stocked with almost everything one would need. We ended up having to deal with a bit of bad weather from Tropical Depression Philippe, but James made sure we had extra water (thankfully, we didn’t need it) and offered for us to park our car in the garage. What a great host! Also, the location is a short drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia and we enjoyed a few local restaurants like Finn’s Irish Pub, Airline Brewing Company and Pat’s Pizza. Would definitely stay in this great unit again. Thank you James for providing such a nice place to stay for our first visit to Maine! ##### Jamie S. Nov 10, 2024 Liked: Check-in, communication, location #### Short Acadia Get Away My husband and I took our kids to Acadia to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We had a great trip overall, here are our pros and cons. Pros: Our host was very responsive to any messages I sent him. He kindly made sure the apartment was open for us when we arrived late on our first night. He also recommended Ana amazing pizza place for dinner (Pat’s Pizza- definitely give it a try). The unit is very convenient to Acadia National Park, which is what we were looking for. Cons There were large black flies flying around the kitchen and living room. The dishes were dirty and needed to be washed before the first use. The bathroom was old. The master bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment, and it was worth it for the location, but I would look for a different place in the future. ##### Jillian R.
