"We absolutely loved our stay here! Carley’s place was spacious, very clean, and just so nice. There were even fresh flowers! There was awesome communication from her and we had everything and more than we needed due to her rocking host qualities. "Centrally located just outside of downtown Elk Rapids. The home is within walking distance to downtown ER, the beach, the Shorts Pull Barn & nearby grocery store. It’s a great jumping off point for day trips to TC, Petoskey, Bellaire and more. Despite being located off a main road, the home is quiet & offers a peaceful setting. All of the rooms include large smart TVs, and comfortable beds. Communication with the host was seamless, responsive and informative. Pricing was a great value, providing...

"A wonderful place to stay, steps from Front St and the beach. We here with our three kids under 9, and they had the best time!! Although I wouldn’t say it’s “child proof” (glass coffee table, no plastic plates or cups), we just kept a vigilant eye on the kids and it was fine. We loved the rooftop patio with a view of the lake in the distance. We made s'mores on the rooftop fire pit (my husband and I roasted the marshmallows to avoid any messes on the gas fire pit). It’s about a 12 minute walk to...

Top Elk Rapids Hotel Reviews

Grand Traverse Resort And Spa

10/10 Excellent

"We love this place and will always return!"

Grand Beach Resort Hotel

8/10 Good

"This place seems nice and had the weather been warmer, I'm sure we would have enjoyed the beach. The room was comfortable and so were the beds and pillows. The breakfast is a joke. The sandwich is a Jimmy Dean on an English muffin, which I prefer their croissant if it has to be Jimmy Dean. The muffin option is a Ottis Spunkinmeyer, which was the strudel, and we left that behind. Just avoid the breakfast is my advice and go elsewhere. The only issue with this place has nothing to do with the staff or the property but some of the people that stay here. It's one of those hotels that if you book on a Friday or Saturday, you may have one of those silly girl's weekend types who are noisy and talking loudly in the hallway about some guy at the bar. Really? Or you may have a young couple smelling up the place with pot and going up and down the elevator for their munchy food and smelling up the place. America has gone downhill folks."

The Lakeview Hotel, Shanty Creek Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The clerk was friendly and helpful when we checked in, telling us about the amenities available and suggesting things to do in the area though we had not asked. That was nice. Our room was large and clean and comfortable. There is a coffee bar and a bar/restaurant on site. The restaurant has wonderful views of the countryside, ski area, and Lake Bellaire off in the distance. We enjoyed a gorgeous sundown as we are our dinner. The place exceeded our expectations."
