"We loved the convenience of being within the park combined with the ability to get away from the crowds. The private niche of Foresta with quaint cabins and solitude was a gem for us. Just down the dirt road from our cabin was a beautiful waterfall that was fun to walk to. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, kitchen well stocked, it is not “fancy” by extremely comfortable."

"We loved this property! So spacious and comfortable. Perfect for the six of us. An easy 45 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. Loved the wood burning stove. The kitchen was spacious, the beds were comfy. A late season storm almost snowed us in. The owners’ staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They brought us a snow shovel and even helped find some snow chains for our car. We’re definitely coming back to this house!"

"Super cozy, quaint, affordable, and nostalgic cottage for my adult family of 5 for my bucket list trip to Yosemite. Cottage was clean w/ a really nice partially covered composite deck with a beautiful of the creek and woods. Even had a gas grill and really nice fireplace too. The property management staff was super friendly and accommodating allowing me to use their laundry facility for free. All of this helped to make a really fulfilling & memorable trip for us... thank you!"

"This was a great home base for my wife and I during our visit to Yosemite! The cabin is clean and off the road a bit so it’s nice and quiet and dark, just as we wanted. Owner left a snack basket for us which was a nice touch. Only surprise was that the Master BR was on the second floor and the bathroom upstairs didn’t have a bath or shower in it. "The Mariposa Lodge is quiet, safe, and has friendly and helpful staff. It is on the edge of a very, very small downtown area. The town population is only about 1500 people as far as I can estimate. So if you are expecting lots of fancy shopping and restaurants, you are not in the right place. But if you want to stay in a quaint, outdoorsy place with about 20 small shops and restaurants on the way to the West gate of Yosemite, then this is the place for you and your family."
