Location was perfect and the staffs

The room was very large As was the bathroom with rain shower Bed was very comfortable

The Lodge is set in beautiful grounds just on the edge of the town It’s a wonderfully relaxing spot with nice gardens and a very nice outside patio

A lovely ancient inn with lots of character. Very comfortable bed and all very clean. Helpful staff, wonderful breakfasts. Perfect base for exploring fascinating Lavenham and area.

The hotel grounds were lovely. The “deluxe suite” we’d booked had some worrisome issues. If you’re a guest anywhere near 6’ tall you run the risk of cracking your head (and drawing blood) on the sharp wooden beams like my spouse did. The towel rack in the bathroom (that also had a low wooden ceiling beam) was scalding hot with no shut off lever. Our safety concerns were relayed to the staff and although they said they’d investigate it didn’t seem like much of a surprise. The breakfast though...

All new and nice and efficient and very good breakfasts!

The hotel is in an idylic situation close to the castle, town square with easy access to great walks, that explore the surrounding village/town and countryside. Food is good, as are the rooms, car parking is tight but accessible. Plus loads of things to do within easy reach. Staff were all helpful, polite and made you very welcome.

The staff were very helpful from the moment I arrived. I needed to book an additional night and thought that might mean a different room for two nights as Expedia said they couldn’t do at their end. They were very accommodating and gave me a room upgrade which was lovely. They carried my luggage to my room. Breakfast was amazing. Servers were friendly. The front desk agent arranged transportation for me when I left. A very pleasant stay.

Old country inn that is well maintained with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Tasty breakfast to start the day.

The hotel is right by the harbour with a pretty view. The street in front is one way and not a thoroughfare, so was quiet. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the centre of town, and there are many pubs and restaurants close by. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Excellent first rate property, room was perfect facing the quiet garden area. We sat out on the balcony and had coffee and tea in the morning. The night before had a swim and enjoyed the sauna, steam room and pool. Later had a wonderful meal in the ring room. If we’re in the region again, we’ll definitely stay, and hopefully for a little longer!

Charming period house renovated into a modern hotel with beautiful gardens and surrounding property. Amazing cooked breakfast buffet. Enjoyed opening room window to hear birds each morning (hotel surrounded by nature). Staff were very helpful in arranging taxis, directions, late night snacks, and loaning me a phone charger. I definitely recommend this hotel.
