Weekend In Falmouth

We really enjoyed the house and it's location to everything. Unfortunately, this home had a very musty smell despite being very clean. We all were affected by the musty odor and our allergies flared up.

Great house for kids!

We were so happy with our stay. It was me, my husband, my two kids (ages 4 and 2). To be honest, the exterior of the house isn't particularly attractive but we got over that very quickly once we got inside. It's a lovely house that is nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (although, like most rental houses we've stayed at, the knives are dull!). The living room was so comfortable and cozy. My kids loved "playing" with the various board games and puzzles. There was a baby gate available to block off the stairs that go down to the basement. The basement is great, it has it's own "living room" space (nice couch and TV), bathroom, and beds. We decided to just keep all of us on the main floor to avoid the kids on the stairs. In the main bedroom, we inflated the Aerobed for the kiddos (I brought inflatable bed rails so they wouldn't fall off). The main floor bathroom had a tub, making baths easy for the kids. The mini-split AC units were great. The washer/dryer are newer and key to have available. The TVs had lots of options using FireTV. A short walk down the street and through a path took us to the salt marsh. It was quiet and nice for the kids to play in the sand a bit, but doesn't quite have the "beach" feel. Very close by, however, just a few minute drive away are several Falmouth beaches that are lovely. We really liked Falmouth Heights beach, it was a bit less "rocky" for the kids to enjoy the sand. There are several great playgrounds nearby, including the Teaticket elementary school. There's a Walmart, Stop&Shop, Shaws super close by. We love dining at the Flying Bridge in Falmouth. Great food, huge outdoor patio seating. I highly recommend. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at this house. The hosts are SUPER friendly and attentive, and checked in frequently with us. I highly recommend this property!

Short Cape Break

Fantastic small property (though deceptively large on the inside) - perfectly appointed with everything a family could need - excellent location for exploring the Cape - would highly recommend!

Girls weekend in Falmouth

This property is simply beautiful! We felt right at home. Everything was so cozy and the home is well stocked with anything you may need during your stay. We enjoyed being able to walk a short distance to the Cove. The outdoor setting with the chairs was great and we even had steaks and shrimp on the grill. Marjorie was so responsive and so helpful. We hope to visit again.

Fantastic vacation rental! The owners are very engaging and thoughtful. The home itself is exceptional, including layout, space, location to the beaches and Main Street, as well as the many Indoor/Outdoor extras that make the vacation home spectacular.

cozy with shower issue

The owners were super-accessible and communicative. We had a good stay, overall, but the shower backed up to our knees while we showered...it was pretty gross. They did offer to send a plumber, but we declined. Just wish it wasn't an issue since we were there for three days for a family wedding.

Perfect Getaway!

Location is excellent for seeing off-Cape friends and family while enjoying the small town beach life. The house has everything needed and then some! Loved the books, games, internet and walking the Cove. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location

We had the best week renting this property! The location is close to the beaches and downtown. It is also right down the street from a saltwater cove that you can swim in, explore sea life and just relax and enjoy the view. The house had everything we could possibly need from sand toys, beach chairs, cooking items, pot and pans, games and more. It is a great place for families with small children. We hope to visit again next year, made wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

Wonderful and cozy property convenient to all that is wonderful in the Cape!

A wonderful get away to the Cape in this charming comfortable and spotless cottage. The amenities were exactly as described with everything that you would need to make a wonderful meal in the home. The cottage is close to many local attractions and not too far from the highways to get to towns such as Provincetown, Hyannis, Mashpee and Yarmouth. We would certainly recommend this home, you are sure to have a wonderful experience!

Cute Cape Cod Home Convenient Location

We just wrapped up a week. We really liked the beautiful morning walks on the path along Great Pond. Only negative would be some musty odor in the linen closets. Good value for the price we paid to be in a great spot.

Cute house for a week on the beach

Had a wonderful stay here with our family. Cute little house with everything you need for a beach week. The beaches are close by and very clean. The kids loved the cove. The owners responded to emails almost immediately when we had questions. Definitely recommend.

Loved this cottage

We stayed here for a week whilst travelling around New England for our Summer Holiday. I cannot fault it. Very clean and had everything and more. I wish we didn't live so far away (UK) but hope to come back one day.

Exceptional Opportunity!!

Hey Boston People! Take advantage of this Falmouth Cottage. It's loaded with all the amenities for a great vacation and the Location is centrally located to venture out north or south. The Cape isn't just about beaches, take the Island Queen, a short walk from Falmouth Plaza, to Martha's Vineyard for the day, eat at Nancy's and take the bus to Edgartown. Hyannis a short ride from Falmouth to the high speed boat to Nantucket, return and have dinner at The Black Cat. The owners of this adorable cottage have gone over and above to provide a memorable Cape Cod vacation. Remember, the Falmouth Road Race is in August. So much to do, so little time!

Experience

This is not a review but an experience I recently had with the owners. I was a long time resident of Falmouth and relocated to Florida 5 years ago. However, I left behind many friends as well as a wonderful part of Cape Cod. I had been searching for an affordable cottage to spend a few weeks there this summer and found this rental which happened to be in a very convenient location. So I went ahead through the rental process. The owners answered all my questions and even accommodated me by driving up from their Florida home with a flat screen TV. As we all know, life is unpredictable and two weeks before my rental period, I had a very bad fall with severe injuries that prevented me from traveling. When I presented this to the owners, they were very sympathetic and understanding and under the circumstances agreed to a full refund. I felt it necessary to write about this experience because although Kevin and Marjorie have this investment property, they demonstrated a kindhearted nature and this speaks volumes about who they are.

Great cottage close to the seashore

This cottage was a great place for a family vacation. The house was clean and comfortable. On the corner of a dead end street in a cute neighborhood - very safe for kids to ride their bikes and play in the yard. The bay was a short 3-minute walk away, and the beach was within a mile from the house. Great bike paths and close to stores and the quaint downtown thoroughfare. This was a great place to have a family getaway.

Lovely Cottage!

Cute, clean, complete with comfortable beds, space for relaxing, a fully equip kitchen and yard with bbq area and hammock. The neighborhood was peaceful and pretty. Shopping (supermarkets, Walmart, etc.) was just down the road. Falmouth offers many great shops, restaurants, an arcade, candle-pin bowling, and a movie theater-pub. The beautiful town of Woods hole is a short drive away. The cottage is perfect for relaxing after a long day of site seeing. Ferries to Martha’s Vineyard are close-by, perfect for a day trip. Thank you to the owners who were helpful, friendly, and made the rental experience a breeze. I would definitely rent this cottage again.

Rented the house for myself,daughter and granddaughter. The location of the house is convenient to beaches, town and attractions. We enjoyed our stay and the house was clean,comfortable,and well stocked with equipment. Looking forward to next year and would definitely return.
