Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort

Pongwe

10/10 Excellent

We had an unforgettable experience at Tulia Zanzibar during our honeymoon. The food was absolutely amazing—truly high-end and exceeded our expectations. The service was beyond phenomenal; the staff were some of the best we've ever encountered, with Joseph standing out as an exceptional member of the team. They made us feel incredibly special, surprising us with thoughtful little touches throughout our stay. The property itself is stunning, offering a serene and picturesque environment. We also...

Wow - we had such a perfect stay. For starters, the hotel is GORGEOUS from the lobby to the restaurants to the rooms. Food was in general very very good. Great pool, beautiful beach and very nice rooms. Evening activities were fun and allowed the guests to interact with each other and the staff. But by far the most amazing thing about the hotel were the staff. Service was beyond amazing and every one was so friendly - anticipating your every need and want. Quite possibly the best service I have...

Tembo Kiwengwa Resort

Kiwengwa

8/10 Good

The property itself is very nice and well kept. The staff were also great! The pool is nice but a little deep at 1.4m but I’m just short. They do need to do a better job of food safety and covering food from flies. If I didn’t make it right at buffet opening, everything was covered in bugs! Also it wasn’t clear enough that this was a no alcohol resort when booking (I don’t drink that much anyways) and I understand it’s Ramadan but other resorts still had activities and entertainment, this one...

Shanuo Beach Bungalows

Michamvi

10/10 Excellent

It’s a lovely spot in a quieter/less built up area of the island. There are options for restaurants nearby (including The Rock restaurant, only a couple minutes walk down the beach) although not as many as some of the more developed areas. The hotel itself is lovely and clean. A nice breakfast is served right on your balcony which has amazing views of the water. No issues with the wi-fi. The staff were very welcoming. There is no A/C; we were a bit warm with the fan windows open but not...
