The property was beautiful, clean and the staff was impeccable! They put a bottle of wine in my room on my birthday. The front desk was amazing and also the housekeepers.

9/10 Wonderful! (1,981 reviews)
Our stay at Simpson Bay Resort was okay overall, but there were definitely some areas that could use improvement. One of the positives was the beach area. It was nice and relaxing, and we appreciated that we were able to get a palapa and chairs in the morning without having to wake up extremely early just to reserve a spot. The paid breakfast buffet, however, was less than okay. The food was below average in taste, and there were very limited options for anyone with dietary restrictions or specific dietary needs. For the price, I would definitely recommend saving your money and going out to breakfast instead. Our biggest disappointment was the cleanliness and maintenance of the room. The room did not seem to be thoroughly cleaned. There was noticeable dust throughout, and the bathroom surfaces had streaks and residue on them. We also found stains on the bedsheets, which was concerning and made us question the overall cleanliness of the room and linens. Even more concerning, three out of the four people in our group developed severe rashes on their faces and bodies during our stay. We cannot say for certain what caused the reactions, but because several of us experienced the same issue, we were concerned that it may have been related to something we came into contact with at the resort, such as the pillows, bedding, or towels.
