  • Charming 1,800 sqft home, offering 3-bedrooms, huge bonus room, sleeps 10, 2 bath remodeled home situated on 3 acres offers privacy and seclusion while providing ideal all-season access to the area's top attractions. Bring the pups, fenced back yard, loads of parking for large vehicles and toys, beautiful views, and no neighbors insight. Located a mere 12-minute drive to Historic Downtown Durango, 8 minutes to Walmart, 10 minutes to La Plata County Airport, 5 minutes to Mercy, near Vallecito & Lemon reservoirs, minutes to BLM for hiking, easy commute to Purgatory.
    Experience Colorado-life at it's fullest in our home, which features multiple outdoor living spaces, unmatched views of the vistas with plenty of beautiful trees, and easy access to miles of surrounding trail networks and public lands. Our home features a spacious kitchen with bar top space, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors throughout, outdoor gas grill, two living spaces, sleep under the stars in the country yet close to in-town conveniences. This home offers the peace and privacy of a 3-acre ranch and farmhouse, but is so close to town you won’t miss out of any of Durango’s attractions or restaurants. Experience all that Durango has to offer, then retreat back to your own private oasis. There is plenty of parking in the driveway/garage for vehicles and trailers. Three TVs, living room, primary bedroom, and bunk room. BBQ Grill, outdoor fire pit (fire restrictions may be in place), two patios, seasonal creek to listen to the sound of water while you sleep. Lauren was an excellent host. She made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The home was cozy and just far enough away from the hustle of downtown. We got to see deer outside almost every day that we stayed. Definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking.

We stayed at The Red House for a week and throughly enjoyed all the amenities. Close to Durango, fishing locations & drove out to Mesa Verde too. So much to experience in just a short drive. Enjoyed having privacy of a more rural location too.

Adorable home perfect for our stay

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Red House. Had everything we needed. The fenced yard was perfect for our little old blind dog. This would be a great house for those with kids. Had a great playroom area upstairs. Would definitely stay here again!

Trip to Durango

Very nice location for our group. Had a couple of nice dinners using the grill, but it was a little chilly to eat outside. Trip was too short as there are so many things to do and see in SW Colorado.

Home away from Home

My family and i came over for a destination wedding. This home was a great place to relax, and enjoy peace and quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the charming little towns more. The most wonderful part for my hisband and I was hearing the stream run as we laid down to sleep.

wonderful getaway

we spent 4 nights at Red House Durango and loved it! The house was roomy, well equipped and located nicely outside Durango. Easy to explore Durango, Animas River and Mesa Verde National Park. There is an irrigation river near the house so we were lulled to sleep by the babbling water!

Beautiful home

This is why of our favorite home we stayed, we sold our home and are traveling so we have seen many. Secluded enough but quick drive to Durango roughly 15 min depending on traffic. Fenced in yard, big bonus. Nice big room upstairs for the kids to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Home & Owner

We had a fantastic stay at this home! It met all our expectations and more. The home was super clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfortable and kitchen was awesome. The outdoor space was beautiful and relaxing. We could not recommend this place enough!! It’s the perfect getaway when visiting Colorado! Lastly, the owner is fantastic at quick communication and answering any questions we had. Thank you!!

What a gem

My sister, niece and I recently stayed here for a girls week in Durango. I can’t express enough how cute this house is! The inside is very spacious and SO cute! The outdoor space is so pretty and inviting with an amazing view and stream. The house has everything you need and the owner touched base to make sure we had all we needed. Such a great place. Quiet and a quick drive to get to downtown Durango. We will be back again! We really loved our stay! Thanks for having us!

Great place to stay!

The Red House was perfect for our week in Durango. We were joined by friends later in the week, and the guys took part in the Iron Horse bike ride while the girls shopped and visited a coffee shop downtown. This is our 5th year to come to Durango for the bike ride, and this has been our favorite place to stay. It’s far enough out to feel private (we’ve stayed in a condo too), but easy to access. The house has enough space for two couples or two families to have their own areas, and also has a pleasant kitchen and living room for time together. Lauren was quick to answer questions as well. We will definitely look to stay at the Red House again.

Location and yard were perfect

Great place to spend a week exploring Durango and all the attractions. We have two dogs that are used to having a fenced in backyard and this place was perfect. The dogs could spend time outside without having to be on a long leash/lead. Side road was not too far away, so it was great for morning walks... though there are some neighbors with dogs so earlier in the morning the better. Overall house was great, exactly what was advertised and perfect. No issues with anything. Would definitely stay again and again.

Beautiful home

The house is very charming, clean, very well stocked and comfortable. We appreciate how well managed taken care the house is. Loved the fenced yard for our dogs. Beds are comfortable. And children loved upstairs hang out space. Location is good for exploring all Durango has to offer. The only downside is that we felt hot, it was heat wave that week and even with great fans provided, it was hot in late afternoon until sunset. Other than that, great house and I’d recommend it.
