This house has a lovely open great room with living room, kitchen and dining in one large space which made it very accommodating for us. We were in town for a cousins’ reunion and the size of the great room allowed us to comfortably host a dinner one evening for 13 without feeling crowded. The bedrooms and bathrooms were located on three levels which allowed for privacy and quiet. During our stay we were entertained nightly by the wild turkeys that wandered through the property and we had a beautiful little fox come up on the deck on evening. (Ages 18 to 80). Durango is our family’s happy place, to which at least some of us have returned multiple times. We know the Durango area well. This property was a great location: beautiful valley, nice views, and only 10 minutes from downtown. The house accommodated eight of us very well, although we could have used two more dining table chairs. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped (kinives could be sharper, and a couple of serving bowls would be welcome). Otherwise, all was good. Enjoyed the wildlife outdoors. Turkeys, deer, and more! Communication with owner/manager was excellent. We would definitely return. ##### DAVID H. The one common thread that kept coming up was the awesome location. You seem like you are so remote, yet less that a 10 minute drive to downtown Durango. It was in the high 80's in Durango, but consistently cooler in with the breezes coming down the valley. The sleeping arrangements for our family group of 8 was perfect. Great house in a great location and we had a wonderful time in Durango! That said, there is a trailer park next door, that you can see when pulling into the house but not when you are at the house. We could hear some noise (music/work) on the weekend coming from there but it was not enough to bother us. Also, I was under the impression that the house was secluded on 24 acres. It is not, you can see the neighbors houses. Again, not a big deal, I was just surprised to see them. The house is great and accommodated our needs. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The house is conveniently located about 10 minutes from downtown. Would definitely stay here again! ##### Tricia S. While the home was only a few miles from town, the location and size of the property gave it the perfect secluded feel but was still close enough to Durango and surrounding towns. The house was roomy enough and had enough bathrooms that we were all comfortable. The Valley where this is located is beautiful and much cooler than in town in the summer!
