"We booked and paid for executive lounge access and the lounge was closed for renovations. Our room card, however, still worked to go into the lounge and lights etc were off but there were no renovations going on. I only booked this hotel because of the executive lounge. "The first two bedroom we were assigned had a bunch of issues. A stranger's mass of hair stuck on the washroom stall, a shower stall that flooded halfway thru a shower, airconditioning not working in the rooms. At every point, the staff tried to BS us saying things like "it takes time for air conditioning to work in Dubai" even though one area was clearly cooler and the other was very hot.
We were downgraded to a one bedroom and I lay given a refund of 36CAD for our entire 8 day stay.
