"Great friendly hotel"

"I stayed for 4 nights for work. I booked a small room as I only get a small work allowance. I was upgraded to a larger room on arrival, which I appreciated! The room was very clean, tidy and I had a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. All members of staff I spoke to were very friendly. The receptionist offered to make up a continental breakfast for me to takeaway, as I had to leave relatively soon after breakfast started for work. This was a lovely gesture and there was plenty of items included! I had time for breakfast on my last day and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I could have had that every morning, but work unfortunately comes first. A very good selection of hot and cold food to choose from. The gym had an excellent range of equipment. The gym, pool area and changing facilities were very clean. The pool was very warm. I only used the sauna, even though there is a jacuzzi and steam room, and it was excellent. The parking area in front of the hotel was a little congested at times, but there is a small car park to the right hand side of the building (if looking at the building). A small room for improvement, would be to signpost the lift to the left side of the entrance. Unless I have missed it. No problem for me, just for anyone with mobility issues, even though the main staircase was amazing. Or perhaps advise location on a email, if not already done. I would definitely recommend, it was great value for money and I would stay again."

"Reception Staff Member who welcomed me at 2am, and the Daytime Reception who saw me out, were both very friendly, and accommodating to my late arrival and departure. The Leisure Facility is all excellent, and staff encountered there were friendly and eager to please. Room Service Staff also very friendly. The Hotel is truly a lovely place to stay in all respects, and i look forward to returning!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Merlindale. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The setting by the River Tweed is incredibly peaceful and scenic — a perfect place to unwind after days of exploring the area.The space was clean, well maintained, and felt welcoming the moment we arrived. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it especially comfortable, and the self-contained setup was ideal for our stay.The location is great for exploring the surrounding countryside while still feeling tucked away and tranquil. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended."

"What a super little hotel! Upon arrival, we received a warm Scottish welcome and were shown up to our rooms. It may be the narrowest detached hotel in the world but the rooms aren't lacking in space. The following morning we had a good Scottish breakfast before heading north on our journey."
