"It was more than expected! From the cleaners ,to the welcome,the cleanliness, comfort and food ( deceptively small portions which leave you in a food coma) I cant fault it.The suprise from housekeeping made my day Would def recommend and am planning to book in the near future."

"The room was very nice, the pub is pretty, and the village is pretty. However the listing was misleading - the restaurant doesn't function midweek, and they don't do breakfast either during the week. I was walking, and didn't want to walk more miles to eat. It's not hard to provide a cold breakfast. So make sure you check whether they're doing food if it matters to you. "

"A forbidding looking picture of the hotel in what has been described as the "most haunted village in England" (!) turned out to be a very comfortable stay with an excellent dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended."

"Its extremely centrally located, which made it super easy to walk everywhere I wanted to go. The property was easy to check in and out from. I was in one of the small loft rooms, and the room was clean, there was plenty of space for me to spread out. My window overlooked the back garden which offered a sense of privacy, especially since I had the window open most of the time. Overall, a wonderful stay - would highly recommend, especially for a soli traveller."

"We arrived with three Dachshunds. Apart from being very impressed with the accommodation, we checked the security of the garden which I would have to say was faultless, even our smallest at 5kg could not find her way out to escape, which was very reassuring. We would definitely stay there again if Lynne would have us. Thanks very much."
