"Jenny was a wonderful host. She was very welcoming and offered us a cup of tea on our arrival. Our room was very spacious and had lovely views of the countryside. Breakfast was delicious, cereals and cooked options. The location was excellent, only 5 minutes from very good restaurants as well as the Bombay Sapphire distillery. We were there mainly to go to Highclere which was only a 10 minute drive away. We had a wonderful stay!"

"Excellent check in with friendly staff. The room was mostly clean just a little unclean under the sink in the bathroom on the tiles in room 109. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and this was not just me as the wood on the bottom of the door was expended so suggests is a normal practice. The bathroom also had a wire attached to the radiator above the bath that did not look well covered. So no issues with the room but bathroom needs some love overall. Great facilities - we used the sauna and pool but we could have played tennis if staying longer. Overall 4/5 stars for me."

"Arrived for my 4th stay and while the room was mostly clean, the bed wasn't made that well and that really stood out. Obviously no big deal but when I had a shower the next morning, I noticed 2 hairs - one on the back of the bath and one on the wall of the shower - which was pretty gross! It really felt like the room didn't have the usual care and attention when it was cleaned, or at least compared to my other stays. This happened at 7.30am and as I was checking out at 8.30am, I planned to report it on my way out, but there was only one person at reception and they were dealing with someone, with another person waiting and I didn't have time to wait. Overall, really disappointing compared to my other stays. I've also contacted the hotel directly to report it."

"Large room. Good desk. Bathroom smelt a little bit of dump. Food wasn't good: cold vegetables, cold chips, rubbery pizza. Also, the walkway between the bedrooms & the bar/reception was exposed to outside temperature, making too cold / uncomfortable so had to carry a coat - a nuisance."
