"This home is simply lovely. The back porch was our favorite spot to listen to the sound of the river flowing. The jacuzzi was huge along with the tub! Be prepared to be very secluded! We will be going back for sure"

"From the moment we booked until our last moments on this striking property, the host was incredible. We loved the location, the privacy, peacefulness and absolute tranquility of Thorn Creek Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed from great kitchenware to internet service in the middle of the mountains! For a fisherman and a chef it was the perfect escape. We did not want to leave and will be back in April."

"Stargazers Retreat is an absolute gem tucked away in the mountains outside Monterey. From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something special. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need for a relaxing getaway. The owners clearly put a lot of care into making the home welcoming and comfortable.The views are incredible—rolling ridgelines in every direction—and the night sky is unreal. With zero light pollution (after you unplug the deck lights), you can see more stars than you ever thought possible. I haven't seen that many stars since my time on a navy cruiser at sea. The Milky Way was plainly visible and we saw several shooting stars. We spent hours on the deck just watching the sky and listening to the quiet. Our grandkids weren't much for stargazing, but they were fascinated by the cows on the adjacent properties. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, disconnect, and breathe for a while. The location is ideal if you enjoy scenic drives, US 220 from Monterey to Warm Springs was our favorite. Monterey is just a short trip away, and the surrounding area offers great hiking, trout fishing, and small‑town charm. If you’re looking for a serene mountain retreat with top‑notch hosts, Stargazers Retreat is truly outstanding. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back."

"I booked this property to take my mom for a long weekend for her 86 th birthday. It was myself, mom and my two sisters. We loved the proximity to the farmers markets and the fact that it was quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of town. The neighboring horses greeted us upon our arrival. The home was clean and well stocked with kitchen items, water, coffee, creamer, snack bars etc. plenty of towels and bathroom supplies!! We made use of the fire pit every night. There was plenty of wood to meet our needs. Check in and check out was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this home and would stay again."
