Dachstein is a mighty karstic limestone range of ca. 20x30 km belonging to Northern Limestone Alps and has dozens of peaks higher than 2.500 metres. From south it has a prominence of more than 2.000 meters and descends steeply to valley of river Enns with city of Schladming. On its north side there are the most northern and most eastern glaciers of Alps. The top summit of Hoher Dachstein has altitude of 2.995 metres.

"The room was above expectations. Amazing view of the Alps! The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a play room for kids as well as an outdoor playground associated with the property. We ate breakfast there a couple times and also cooked in the room - both great experiences. The skikeller was safe and in a great location for ski-in-ski-out. We absolutely loved this hotel!! "

"We prepaid for room but hotel insisted we had not paid despite showing them proof, even our credit card statement with the charge listed. It took over an hour at checkout to resolve this matter otherwise they would have charged our card for incidentals the entire room price again. Breakfast was terrible. We had to make up the beds for our children ourselves. The resort has many amenities and is walking distance to a tiny Town with a couple restaurants. Beautiful area."

"Eigentlich wäre das Appartment wunderbar gewesen und es liegt abgeschieden und hat deshalb auch keinen Verkehrslärm. Leider haben die Gäste im 1\. Stock fürchterlichen Lärm gemacht. In den 1\. Stock führt eine Metalltreppe, die Schlafen mit den entsprechenden Nachbarn unmöglich macht. Bitte legen Sie auf die Treppe (Gummi-)Matten, um den Lärm zu dämpfen. "Everything about this hotel is 5 star. We enjoyed a 5 day break here and would definitely return. The food was fantastic … excellent breakfast buffet with anything you could wish for plus an à la carte service. The evening dinner was superb, creative menus delivered first class service. The spa and pools were great, outdoor pool in the snow!! Housekeeping kept our room in a perfect condition. All of the staff were friendly, professional and fun!! I’m sorry I don’t have all of the names but a quick shout out to Katja who looked after us in the dining room and Marlene at reception. We can’t fault anything about this hotel!! "

"The room was above expectations. Amazing view of the Alps! The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a play room for kids as well as an outdoor playground associated with the property. We ate breakfast there a couple times and also cooked in the room - both great experiences. The skikeller was safe and in a great location for ski-in-ski-out. We absolutely loved this hotel!! "
