"So much wood and a very ample space. Clean and the staff aiming to please. I'd rather stay here than in an expensive hotel - much more room, kitchen, living room, multiple bedrooms with balcony. It is at the edge of the Historic city so choose your route home wisely after 8pm. The place looks like the pictures posted. So charming. Loved our stay."

The suite was extraordinary. It is one of the best suites I've stayed at worldwide.
The surrounding neighborhood not as great yet there is a guard at the entrance for security purposes.

As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay than Casa de Alta. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome—they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
My room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. And the breakfast? Absolutely amazing! Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—it was the best way to start my day. The morning view was just as incredible, with hummingbirds constantly...

The most sensational experience. My daughter's trip of a lifetime and this hotel was one of the best parts. They arranged every activity and helped us endlessly. Breakfasts were delicious.
Can't rate it highly enough.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area. The staff have been fabulous and can’t do enough to make your stay extra special. The food has been really good and the view from the rooftop bar is beautiful at night. Can’t wait to come back.

A very lovely property. Our room was beautiful, quiet and well-equipped. We loved the special touches like the robes and slippers, little chocolates and easy access to a water refilling station on each floor. The attentiveness to safety and security was excellent. There were additional spots in the hotel, such as a third floor room with couches and a beautiful view, and areas on the main floor, where coffee/tea/snacks were on hand each evening.

My brother and I had a fantastic time at the Casa de Piedra in Mindo. We enjoyed the clean and cheerful facilities and lush grounds as well as our interactions with the friendly staff and fellow patrons. Sara, the host/receptionist, was wonderful. She made our stay very special and helped us plan our excursions to make the most out of our brief visit. Her piña coladas are epic! Not to be missed is the Tarabita (cable car)/hike to 7 waterfalls and bird watching in the wee hours of the morning...

I stayed there at the start of our vacation to the Galapigos, and it was probably one of the best parts. We had 2 days in Quito before we headed to the island. This place was perfect. We arrived to Lamas on the stairway to our private room. Woke up in the morning to peacocks outside the window of the restaurant where we had breakfast. It was very unique, very romantic. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The taxis had a hard time finding it, but the staff gave us a number to call for taxis...

Great hotel, perfect location - walking distance to La Basilica and La Compañía, very friendly and helpful staff, very spacious and beautifully decorated rooms in a historical building. Our room was two level with two twin beds on the second level and a king bed on the lower level + a small balcony. Air conditioner, hot water, everything is absolutely new - the hotel just opened. Washroom is sparkling clean. They serve nice breakfast in the morning.

We stayed 10 days and the staff was excellent, very helpful. Room was clean and the wifi worked perfect. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and varied a little every day.
