« The location by the Mississippi River is beautiful. The train tracks running beside it caused us to be woken up 2 or 3 times in the night. The town of Louisiana is tired and old, has few restaurants. The property is tired and old, has poor wifi. Stop look at the river and go on down the road….. stay elsewhere! »

She herself detected that something was suffering from the summer heat, dust, and critters and immediately ensured someone promptly showed up to thoroughly clean. It was a grand and spacious old house that they are working hard to fully restore to its prior family-warm grandeur. It was neat to literally walk back through differing eras. If you love touching and tactilely experiencing history, this is definitely the place to experience it all...

« Beautiful historic property with updated kitchen and HVAC. Plenty of room for gathering in the large modern kitchen with farmhouse table. Lots of unique 19th century touches including a sunny reading nook upstairs. We enjoyed our stay and would return. »

« Absolutely loved our home. So clean and cozy with everything you could possibly need! The eggs in the fridge from the farm were a yummy surprise to use for our breakfasts too. The host was so kind and generous. We loved watching her beautiful horse in the mornings and evenings. Fed her treats (from the owner). Sweet outdoor cat sat with us at night while we watched the lightning bugs outside. Kitchen was equipped with everything for cooking. Bed was SO COMFY! Oh and the jacuzzi tub! Added perk...
