"Great facility. However we were in a room surrounded by dog owners and the barking was an issue. One of the elevators wasn’t working and there was a broken light in our room. Will stay there again if I could get a better price "

"I read about the hotel history before staying. When I checked in I noticed that the clerk was going to put us in room 1015. If you know about the hotel, that room is rumored to haunted. I asked if I could have a different room, that I read about the hotel and would rather not have that room. The lady that was checking us in said really sarcastically "ummm, okayyy" and rolled her eyes at me. We did get a different room. Other than her attitude it was a lovely stay. Gorgeous architecture!!"

"No thanks to Expedia, our stay was great. Expedia dropped the ball AGAIN and booked us rooms that weren’t available. We got notified the day of arrival that our room was cancelled. I called the property and they found a way to fit us in but told us that they had notified Expedia over a month ago that half of the property rooms were unavailable, which Expedia never updated on their website. Thankfully, the staff at The New Hotchatown Lodge were amazing and super helpful and everything worked out....

"Very nice rooms. I love the “organic” look and cement floors. For convenience, I do wish there was filtered water or bottled water available in those nice refrigerators. Also, some Kleenex. Otherwise nicely appointed. Was not impressed with the restaurant on the roof. Got 3 orders wrong out of our group of nine. Food was good but not great."
