We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of untaped natural attractions that Koh Kong had to offer. From bushwhacking jungle treks to pristine waterfalls to the largest intact mangroves in Cambodia, Koh Kong is definitely a place worth exploring. The mangroves are located about 15 minutes by motorbike from the main road in Koh Kong. We paid $1 for parking, along with a small entrance fee into the park. The boardwalks through the mangroves were impressive and well designed. The crossing isn't comfortable, especially when the sea is rough. I think you'll get there quickly. As for the staff, they're excellent. The Khmer people so warm and welcoming that they remain so for as long as possible." Palm Beach is ideal for families with kids or couples looking for a quieter option on Koh Rong away from the party hotspots, while also still offering cheap drinks and music for those seeking a laid back beach vibe. Scooter rentals are available right from the property so although it is further removed from other areas of the island, it is easy to get anywhere you’d like to explore. The food was amazing, and great mix of European and Khmer options. Martin the bartender was fabulous. The owner is hands on and always around to accommodate any requests and ask for feedback. She hires tons of locals and treats everyone as family. The bungalows are fairly rustic but perfect for nature lovers seeking an authentic tropical island experience. We ever had a Tokay Gecko visit us a couple of nights! We will definitely be back one day.
