The location of the lodge is ideal for a family or couple who want to go exploring different parts of Devon and also a drive to Cornwall. "This is a quaint hotel, full of character, in a small attractive village on the west side of Dartmoor. It was particularly welcoming when we arrived in the evening, in thick fog! The bar was busy and there was a huge open fire. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was good.
