"It was beautiful in many places. We had to live out of our suitcases because our room had no place to put toiletries etc. we could not sit together. Chairs across room from each other. Not wanting to take a shower due to mold everywhere in bathroom. Chipped paint at bathroom and closet. I know going through renovations but if all rooms are like ours, no way ready for 100 yr celebration. "

"Great quiet stay. Breakfast bar was not your typical breakfast foods though. Everything was packaged so if you are looking to book at a hotel with actual breakfast meal/bar just fair warning. Hot tub was nice & front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating because our reservation was a bit messed up but she handled it perfectly! "

"The Candlewck is nestled back against a beautiful forest. The room was retro with the basic amenities. We enjoyed the jetted tub. Several restaurants and 2 convenience stores were within walking distance. The only complaint is the mattress and pillows."
