We also have had pest control out to spray for ants, as the months get warmer we work very hard to keep them away. We hope to see you on future trips so that we may show you a good stay. The hotel room we stayed in had a lot of little ants! They did offer to move us to a different room, but I was too tired to do that. The person working did come down and clean up all the dead ants underneath the vanity in the bathroom, so that helped some, but for the price of this hotel, I was a little disappointed.

The hotel has modern decor and is kept up well. The room I stayed in was clean and was comfortable. The front desk staff was also friendly and professional. I only stayed for 1 night but would definitely stay again.

The stay was fine, but for what was billed as a more upscale stay, I found it to be pretty average. The bed linens were nice. The bathroom was spacious and looked new, but there were odd things like the toilet plumbing giving a big thunk when the tank stopped filling and the heat/AC fan rattling so much it was unusable if you wanted to sleep. The Beekman 1802 toiletries were just ok, in my opinion. In the future, I would book a comparably priced hotel a little farther out that included complimentary breakfast. Overall— clean, fine, easy to get to.

Great hotel. Only complaints are that they don’t have decaf coffee in the self service coffee area (we were told we could make it in our room, however, we had just checked out) and the water is so soft in the shower that it is impossible to rinse soap and shampoo. Otherwise, it is clean, comfortable, feel safe both in hotel and parking area. Close to shopping and restaurants—drivable, not walkable, other than the Machne Shed.

Misrepresented?
This hotel is very similar to a Holiday Inn. Kind of dangerous walkway/stair case going in, no maintenance to keep it clean in the winter. Inside was very loud, lots of kids running through the halls. The pool area was basically unusable with how loud and busy it was. I slept with headphones to avoid the shouting/slamming of doors, as the walls were very thin. The room itself looked like a strange studio apartment minus the kitchen. The bathroom was...odd? The doors are like closet door and the toilet sits in a weird indent in the wall. The room was clean, sort of, but because of all the weird angles in the bathroom there was a bit of grime and hair in the corners. They don't provide new toilet paper/soaps, most of it is bulk product that's left open, which were not filled or clean. I asked for more blankets before booking, and was only given a weirdly textured blanket that was dusty and left on the top shelf of the closet. Also, the room card has instructions to 'report suspicious guests' which did not make me feel all that safe? It's not listed clearly, but there is a 'sister' hotel across the lot, and that one is apparently a lot 'quieter' according to a regular, and this one (Hotel Reveno) is really only used for the pool. A wonder why it isn't advertised that way on this site. Checkout was okay, the staff are friendly and patient. Overall not terrible but don't go out of your way to stay here. It's not anything special.

It smelled of sewer gas when we arrived and was like that for 2 days. The people on both sides of us had parties going on and crying kids and it was not a good experience.

Great hotel stay, staff were just wonderful!
Our stay at the Hotel Renovo was fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay there! The staff were so helpful. United had canceled the first leg of our 1-stop flight to Iowa, therefore we missed our connecting flight & couldn't make it to check-in in time for our first night stay. We ended up staying overnight at the connecting airport & couldn't check in to Hotel Renovo until the next day of our 2 night stay. Kristen who was the clerk that answered my call & also checked us in the next day was very accomodating & canceled our first night stay & made notes of our situation. She wasn't authorized to refund us the one night since we booked our stay through Hotels.com but when they called to confirm Hotel Renovo was ok with giving us the one night refund due to our canceled flight, the hotel manager on duty that night was also very accomodating & let Hotels.com know that he ok'd the one night refund due to our canceled flight situation. I believe his name is Jake or Zack? He would have been on duty Sat Aug 26, 2023 to Sun Aug 27, 2023.

This is our go to hotel when we need to go to Des Moines. It's quiet, safe and 15 mins from Downtown Des Moines. Tons of open parking and easy to get to. Our recent stay the room wasn't as clean as we would have liked.

Dear Jay, We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hotel Renovo! I apologize about the ice machine, we do have one on each floor to make it convenient for all guests.
