What we did not expect was the up hill location of the level five cabins. As is typical of many shops and other locations in mountain towns, there was a lot of trekking up and down stairs. Be sure to get a lower level cabin if you have difficulty navigating stairs. Staff will take you in golf carts if you ask. Denali is awesome and Crow’s Nest is very close to shops and restaurants—just have to climb down if you do not have a vehicle. We loved our night here. It’s right on the main shopping area but up a hill so it’s not conveniently located and also a little secluded. The room was small and cozy. The shower was great - good pressure and super hot water! We brought our pup and everyone said hi to him. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back! I added a photo of the view from our room. I will say that we live in Alaska and read other reviews and I think it’s just that people have no understanding of how remote and difficult life can be in Alaska. This is a very nice hotel in rural Alaska and I am so grateful for the care that was taken in the cleanliness and atmosphere and amenities. Our car had broken down and the town we were staying in was not very big so there were no mechanics surround however, the maintenance guy Logan took the time to get a new belt for us and repaired a car while we were out hiking Denali, Andres at the front desk found Logan for us and was very helpful.
