"I stayed at this hotel more than 15 years ago as a refuge from a winter storm. The building was filthy, cold and there were black widow spiders in the bathroom. This property has been sold and completely remodeled virtually ground up. Almost impeccably clean, it was nice and comfortable albeit the structure design is outdated. Beds and bedding was acceptable though a little spartan. Breakfast was hot and copious in volume and choice. Absolutely no complaints, but just know that the location is remote which from my perspective adds value in terms of privacy, quietude and solitude."

"This hotel had been recently renovated and it was very nice. We appreciated that there was a Keurig in the room and for a change we got a nice in-room cup of coffee. The grounds were up kept as well as the interior."

"The hotel is unique in that it used to be a middle school. It has a school feel to it which is fun. However, the room felt dirty, and it felt like there was no staff anywhere. Almost felt like we were walking the halls of an abandoned hotel. We always had to wait for someone to come to the desk or we were directed to the restaurant for anything we needed (which was also empty until someone came out). The old wood floors in the room are noisy and creaky when you walk so you can’t get up to go to the bathroom without waking everyone else up. Would not recommend. "
