"Not your traditional hotel booking. Had to pay a €200 damage deposit for an already damaged room before actually seeing the room. Bunk beds were breaking apart and windows were cracked. This gave me some fear that I would be charged for this. Other than that the bathroom and kitchen were great. And the heater a bonus. "This place is really about the view to the Alhambra which was superb! The room was big. The bed was “okay”, but the fitted sheet didn’t fit very well and in the middle of the night they kept coming off… we had to get up and try to put them back on. The proprietor gave us very good directions on where to be dropped off by the taxi. It is a walk down stairs so definitely be sure to bring luggage that can be rolled along a rocky/aggregate terrain. "The room was gorgeous and super comfortable, first hotel during our vacation with a real bed lol. Staff are amazing, room is clean and stocked, 3 minute walk to Alhambra, only downside is that the breakfast buffet, despite having many options, always leaves me wanting. Would still stay again!"

"Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Clean and comfortable room, nice little pool to relax after a day exploring the Alhambra right opposite and great little bar serving food too (super friendly barman!). Breakfast was really enjoyable. I travelled with two friends and we found this to be a great choice as a base for exploring Granada on the C32 bus route which was really handy for getting around. Yes, the hill walking into town and back IS steep, but personally I enjoyed the walk, it was so pretty along the way. Thank you Team Alixares, I’ll definitely be back! "

"Stayed for two days tourism and then three days work at a conference, and the Pension was perfect for both. Really central location, large comfortable room - it's understandably not the height of luxury, but for the (very low for its location) price it was brilliant. And the people running it were all really lovely, welcoming, and so helpful, including lending me a travel adaptor when I realised on a Sunday evening that I had failed to bring mine, and couldn't buy any until the shops opened on Monday. I had a really good stay - thank you!"
