I went for my business and have no specific opinion about the city as I did not do any sight seeing except going to Dar Es Salaam Institute of Tech and University. Enjoyed a good capuccino in the city mall.
Unique features of Masaki include the seaside views and bars. Make a stop by The Slipway or Sea Cliff Casino while you're exploring the area.
Oyster Bay is noteworthy for its restaurants, and you can make a stop at top attractions like Coco Beach and Little Theatre.
The beaches and restaurants are a few reasons travelers visit Upanga East. Though there aren't many top sights in the neighborhood, you can visit Kariakoo Market and Dar es Salaam International Conference Centre, a few notable attractions nearby.

I was in transit on my way to Arusha. Had no chance to see any thing in DAR
Hardley any sidewalks on the streets. Too many hawkers on the sidewalks. Cleanliness maintained. Roads conjugated. Takes 2 hours by taxi to the hotel.
I liked the view of the Harbour from my room. Did not have a chance to explore the city. Will do so on my way back from Mwanza.
