This is a 2* to 3* Property
Not bad but not great either. All furniture and kitchen cabinets are IKEA. Kitchen cabinet quality is good but furniture; not so much. The two twin beds are Wal Mart/Dorm Room cheap and not even stable for a 200#+ adult. I was very embarrassed my friends got that room. There were no extra garbage bags in unit so we only got one. Main level bathroom has no hand towel or even a towel bar to hang one. All other towels are so-so and not enough of them. The patio furniture was sparse as only two people can sit out there. The picture includes outside patio furniture that isn’t actually there so that felt misleading. Screen doors are broke. Outside of house is rough. Rotting wood is visible and it hasn’t been painted in a very long time. The rear parking is tough if someone is staying in the second unit. To park in the “car port” you better have a smaller car and be quite good at show horning a car into the tightest of spots. The ceiling in the main living room and kitchen are painted white but are stained brown in many areas. Overall, it deserves the 3.4* rating. It’s just too bad they haven’t listened to the comments and made changes. The location is great, however.

Great location, but
No A/C in the bedrooms, wash cloth, hand and drying towels need to be upgraded

Great location within walking distance (a few blocks) to shops, restaurants and Pacific Ocean. Enjoyed our stay. Jason was very responsive.

Very clean inside, amenities of home were provided. Outside needs a lot of work, and parking was a bit challenging.

Great Location
We chose this property based on location. Unfortunately, some of the reviews aren't great but we really enjoyed our stay. I noticed after we booked that the price per night increased dramatically but I was pleased with the quality based on our rate. We stayed for 7 nights and it was very comfortable for our family of 5. There is parking in the alley and we attempted it the first night. We rented a minivan and found it challenging to squeeze into the spot. We were able to park on the street and chose to do that the rest of the trip. We were initially confused because there's a no trespassing sign on the gate leading to the entrance (from the alley). You enter through that gate if coming from the back. It does get warm upstairs in the evening before the sun goes down. I can see how that would bother people but we only noticed it on our last day because most of our time was spent exploring and we weren't back at the house until night. This was our first time visiting CA and I can't say enough about what a great location this was. We spent a couple of days exploring LA/San Diego. The rest of the time was spent at the beach and local shops/restaurants. It's close to the beach but I wouldn't call it walking distance, especially not with beach toys for 3 kids. Doheney State Beach was our favorite of the Dana Point beaches. The condo could use new blinds and window treatments. For some reason, we couldn't get the upstairs ceiling fan to work but these were pretty minor issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to people if the price is right. We enjoyed our vacation, Dana Point is lovely.

Not a bad place
This was a fairly decent place to stay. It was close enough to hot spots up and down the coast, although our stay wasn’t long enough to take much in. The condo’s decor had an early 70’s kinda feel. It felt slightly in disrepair, needing some maintenance attention, but nothing that ruined our stay. I’m not going to disagree with the more recent reviews. The place needed attention. Parking wasn’t the easiest, having to search for a spot. The one dedicated spot available for parking was super tight in the back alley and was taken by the front unit’s long term renter. All-in-all I would probably find a different place if I visited the area again.

Decent place but be careful because it is not at all what is adverstised
I rent several places in this area a year and even though the house is nice, it had some serious issues that i hope the host fixes for the next guests! in fact, the pictures are not what it looks like. The master bathroom had paint coming off and paint pieces were in the tub which was stained as well. The host never even bothered to let me know about it in advance so it was a shock to see it. The shower looked like from a run down motel. the host took two days to respond to my complaint. Nothing happened during my stay. I never seen anything like it for a place that pretends to be "Stunning". The two small twins are the cheapest mattresses that my kids had hard time sleeping on it. The master balcony was dirty and run down. The house on the outside is run down and the top deck faces the back alley. the fireplace is not working and not in the conditions to be working so it should not be listed at all! The host wrote that parking is plentiful on the street but there is never a spot in the evenings. He did not even bother telling me that there is actually a parking spot in the back. Other small issues but these should be fixed if he wants to charge this price and advertise it to be "Stunning". Not coming back at all!

Great location, clean, comfortable, good value.
Location is fantastic with easy walking to town and to the Bluffs. Living Spaces comfortable enough. Upstairs remains hot during the day. Downstairs is nice and cool with ceiling fans. Owners provided a helpful welcoming letter but were not as accessible during the stay. Property has a few cosmetic problems that should be addressed.
