A few miles outside Cuenca, this was a surprise on the plus side for us as it is in a secluded area with grapevines in front and lots of mature trees Super private. No need to stay in Cuenca as it is a short drive in the morning to get to the hanging houses if Cuenca. The main lounge has a woodburning fireplace which greeted us upon our arrival. We enjoyed drinks by the fire before dinner which was a real treat. Just like being in your own living room. Dinner very good and the service...

Hotel Convento del Giraldo

Old Town Cuenca

10/10 Excellent

The hotel is located in the beautiful historic center and has amazing views. The staff were super nice and gave me an upgrade so I could get a better view. I think I was lucky because it was a week night and it was not all booked out. The room was big and had a small fridge. . It’s about a 20-25 minute walk to the city center ; down then up the steep hill or there is a city bus that runs often. I recommend the hotel, it was very nice and I felt relaxed because of the quiet atmosphere.
