The views of Cuenca from our room and from the dining room were priceless and so beautiful! The staff was warm and welcoming and very helpful. You step outside of the hotel and you are within walking distance of all of the lovely sites of the historic center of Cuenca. We looked out our window and we were on the hanging houses. The walkability is amazing. We got a great deal (799kr). The breakfast was very good for 10 euros. My room was clean, comfortable, spacious and provided great views. The breakfast was good and good value. The staff was very friendly, even schedule a taxi for me to get back to train station. Helpful staff. Our room had a terrace with the most amazing views of the gorge. Lots of walking options and trails. Lot of bars and restaurants in the old town. It is steep so good exercise for the legs! Alternatively there is a bus and a tourist train from the cathedral square. We had a small balcony overlooking the gorge. Downside is there is no air con & it was very hot. They provided us with a fan when we requested one. We had dinner on both nights we stayed & the food is excellent. We had reserved a table for our first night when we booked this hotel so we had the best table on the terrace. Amazing views. If you want a terrace table reserve as the terrace is quite small. They gave us the same table the following evening. We had breakfast on the first morning which was not very good. No meat/cheese vegetable laid out. A girl eventually brought out some plates of cling film covered ham & cheese. Some hard boiled eggs that looked like they had been in the fridge for a few days. There were some pastries & fruit.
