"Staff are mostly friendly and helpful (Sam at the front desk was awesome, as were all the shuttle drivers). Room was spotless. Pool area was a little nasty as people left their areas with half eaten food and beverages. Found chicken bone in the pool. Breakfast is super boring and tasteless. Lunch at the Tiki bar is ok but mostly the same as breakfast. Wish they never closed the Key West IHop!! Love Hampton Inn just not impressed with this one at Key West."

"I had a very good experience at this hotel. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and willing to assist with anything we needed. The pool was excellent, very clean and perfect for relaxing, and the food was also very good throughout our stay. The only issue we noticed was that the drains in our room were partially clogged, which should be checked and improved. Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again."

"I wouldn’t choose to stay at a RESORT, but my trip was last minute and it was the best I could do. Resort vibe is definitely not me. I was in town for birding and hiking and just needed a clean, quiet room. They put me in the very back of the facility in the Rooster section on the second floor with no elevator. (My knees didn’t appreciate it) The Red Junglefowl aka Chickens crow “cockadoodledoo” starting at about 4 am and throughout the day. They give you earplugs bc they know you can’t sleep through it. Truth be told, I probably prefer loud Birds to loud People, but I didn’t get much sleep from all the crowing. I ordered food from the food truck one time…you have to go to the bar to get food. My tiny $16 flat bread pizza was $20 after mandatory 18% gratuity, taxes, & resort fees. I didn’t use any other resort amenities, as i was out before dawn (thanks to the chickens for getting me up and going).. and crashed in late afternoon after hours of hiking and birding. Parking spots are tight and hard to come by at check-in… be prepared to walk. If you want to lay by the pool all day sipping adult beverages, it might well be your vibe. It is a very nice, well-maintained, clean 4 star hotel. Just depends on what you are looking for."

"I would give this place 4.25 stars in actuality. It's pretty, they have an hourly shuttle to and from Key West, there was plenty of parking in the garage, they have boat tours that you can take right on the grounds, the shower was large, and overall the room was nice. The elevator was very slow and sounded like metal grinding which was concerning and the toilet didn't flush right. If they did a tad more updating it would be much nicer but overall we weren't disappointed with our stay. We also ate at their restaurant. We had the waffle which was rubbery but the fruit was fresh. The waiter however was wonderful. I would say it's worth a stay."

"Staff very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The hotel is an older hotel but very well maintained. The rooms were clean. I was traveling with my 2 sisters. I had been to Key West before and stayed at a hotel down town. I found this hotel rooms to be a bit bigger. There was transportation available every hour to and from downtown & Smathers beach. I felt the location where we were dropped off was a great area for walking and right near Duval St. There was breakfast provided daily with many options. Cold water container always filled near bar/pool area as well as inside reception area. On checking we were handed a daily buy one get one drink card for the bar. The pool was awesome with plenty of lawn chairs to sit, in and out of shade. I would stay here again."
