"I tried to call while on the road about checking in late. A lady answered the phone, mumbled about putting me on hold. She never came back on the line. I called again later, no answer. I called again later, someone picked up and hung up on me without speaking. No one answered the front desk calls I made from 8:30pm-11:30pm (7 calls unanswered over 3 hours) trying to let the hotel know I was checking in late. I left an instant message to the hotel via Expedia, the hotel never responded there either. When I arrived and explained I had been calling the person at the desk started with: "well I just got here" and "it must have been the previous shift". Only after I got irritated and said that that was not the point did he apologize. Not sure who was running the front desk, but they were MIA."

"We stayed here for two nights. Our room was ready to occupy late, and we waited an hour after check in to receive our keys. That was disappointing. Then when we got to our room, it felt like the AC hadn’t been run in days. It was hot and took hours to cool off. We had to open doors in July to get the room to cool down. After those mishaps, though, we began to fully enjoy our stay. I would doubt those issues are repeated for others. So, I enthusiastically recommend this resort. If all goes well, it totally worth a stay."

Chamonix Casino Hotel

8/10 Good

"Not enough coffee with the in room coffee maker, no option for hot water for tea. A microwave would be nice. The minibar refrigerator was so small we could barely fit in our own items that needed to stay cool. They said we could have had a free small fridge if we asked. Two shampoos but no body wash in the shower. The mattress is long overdue for a change out we kept rolling towards the center. We stayed here in May and were in a better room that time. Nice hotel just a little pricey for the quality."
