Pet Friendly, Hot tub Summary: Fantastic 5 BR home on the mountain, pet friendly, hot tub. The Space: This fantastic house sits on top of a knoll which provides unobstructed views of the surrounding majestic peaks. It is truly breathtaking! The south facing, fully furnished deck and hot tub provide ample opportunity for outdoor relaxation year round. A gas grill is available for use. One dog is allowed. You can use the First Tracks free shuttle service which offers free transport from the house to the base area and back. It is an on-demand service. Otherwise, you can walk to the end of Whetstone Rd to Columbine Condos, don your skis and take off down warming house hill. Upon entry, you'll be thrilled by the interior roominess, natural light and open feel of the living area. The spacious kitchen has high-end appliances, including an oversized refrigerator and freezer complete with a digital display and ice/water dispenser. A double oven, Frigidaire range with hood vent, farm-style sink, and large counter top space will make cooking in this kitchen a pleasure. There is a pantry and separate laundry room with washer and dryer behind the kitchen. A storage room for ski gear and bikes is also accessible from the rear entrance of the house adjacent to the kitchen. One bedroom with a queen bed is located off of the kitchen with a private door to a shared full bathroom that has beautiful natural stone tile throughout. The main dining table has seating for 6 and with 4 barstools nearby at the kitchen island for additional seating. There is also a separate bar height table in the living space for more dining or games. The new couches and chairs in this area provide ample seating for relaxing or watching TV. There is a full size shuffle board game in the living room as well. There is a cozy den to the left of the front entrance. This inviting room has a sectional sofa, a stone gas fireplace and a large smart TV. Upstairs, you'll find a large primary suite with a king bed and a single day bed with twin trundle. Windows provide plenty of light and expansive views of the area. An ensuite primary bath complete with an oversized, walk through style travertine shower, free standing soaking tub, walk in closet, double sinks and in floor heat make this master bath extra delightful after a day in the mountains. There are three more bedrooms on the second floor. Two, one with a queen and the other with a twin over full bunk, can be adjoining by opening the barn door sliding door in between. The third, in the back of the house, has a king bed. These three rooms share a large full bathroom complete with a bath tub. New laminate style wood flooring, stylish light fixtures, upscale furnishings and high end finishes all come together to make this vacation property truly luxurious. See for yourself! Four Wheel Drive Vehicle Necessary in Winter months!! There is outdoor parking for 4 vehicles. Parking is allowed up at the house ONLY. Not in the lot below the house. The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, excepting children (of all ages) with their parent or legal guardian. Please note that we do count all children and infants in the headcount for the property. This is a pet friendly property. You are welcome to bring one dog and will be charged a separate pet fee at the time of booking. This property does allow 1 well behaved dog, no additional dogs are allowed. A fee for any excessive damage caused by your pet may be assessed on a case by case basis. Please note that our company does have a separate rental policy that will be emailed to you immediately after booking and this will need to be signed by you. It's big, open and very comfortable. We really loved the deck and hot tub as well! The kitchen is well equipped and you can easily cook a meal there for a large family. The location is very convenient to both the town center and the mountain area. We were a little concerned about the lack of a/c in August but there are many windows and a lovely breeze that helps to keep the house cool. We have been doing family vacation every January for the last 9 years! As we have out grown a lot of the properties this one fits us all now. There was plenty of room and the bed/bath situation worked out well. We especially enjoyed the large selection of kitchen cookware for making large meals. We used the new First Tracks app to call for shuttles to the ski area, and it worked great. The shuttles even came to the top of the driveway to make it easy to load our gear. We used the Black Tie ski rental service and they delivered right to the top of the driveway as well. The house was very clean and the management company was very responsive to our questions. It’s a great house, beautiful view, very comfy beds, well stocked kitchen. They even had things available like more trash bags, Clorox wipes, plenty of hot tub, bath and kitchen towels etc. We were grateful we could have one of our dogs with us :). Most everyone got in the hot tub and loved the dark skies! It really was a great house for our 3 night getaway. Downside: the fridge was very small for our group of 12\. It would be great to have a 2nd one in the ‘bike’ room. I had to keep a lot of my food in a cooler and keep adding ice. Bunk room does not have any windows that open so super stuffy in the summer for anyone in there. ##### Julie M. Our trip to Crested Butte was for a birthday celebration for my oldest son. We needed a pet friendly property to include our lab. Whetstone Wonder was everything represented. Our check in was flawless. The house is magnificent. The views incredible. The owner has thought of everything. The property management company bends over backwards to ensure every expectation is met. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Crested Butte. It was more house than our family of four needed, but I am so glad we had the opportunity to visit this awesome property. ##### Walt J. The pictures do not do it Justice! We had plenty of space for our family (6 adults and 6 kids). The house is very well stocked with everything you would ever need! The bus picks up right at the end of the driveway for skiing. The ski room with the door from the outside was very convenient! The hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing! The hosts answered all of our questions, and made our stay so easy! We had a issue with the coffee pot, and it was immediately fixed! We would most definitely recommend this house! ##### Melissa N. The shuttle stops right at the base of the driveway and only a 5 minute ride to the base. Close to town. The management staff we had an interaction with were great, courteous and helpful. The house was top notch. We loved the shuffle board for hours of entertainment. Would highly recommend this property. ##### Nick L. We thoroughly enjoyed this property -- great views, close to CB, a very nice place! We are building a home near Gunnison and needed a place to stay until it is completed; this house was perfect for us, plus, we enjoyed the shuffle board table! This was our first time to Crested Butte and we loved it! This property is in a great location with incredible views. The deck is amazing and we enjoyed dining outdoors and hot tub time after long days spent hiking. The house is well stocked for cooking and entertaining. There are plenty of towels, the beds are comfortable, and have nice linens. The property was also incredibly clean. We just had a small group but can’t wait to go back with friends.
