Craters of the Moon National Monument Tours and Activities

This is my go to lodging choice for the Bitterroot Valley, Montana. It’s always clean, comfortable and accommodating with friendly and helpful staff. I like the breakfast options and evening cookies, coffee and other hot beverage options. My friend traveling with me couldn’t sleep so he sat on the comfortable couch to read with the fireplace blazing.

Cabins were over 20 miles from West Yellowstone. When I booked, I searched for places to stay in West Yellowstone, not someplace so far away. Also, road into cabins was poorly plowed and as it got warmer and snow became slush it was an adventure getting to and from our cabin.

As always The Wren was an exceptional place to stay. Welcoming to pups and the employees who Checked us in and checked us out were friendly and fun to chat with. There was one exception. As we were leaving we asked for a towel from the front desk. Our dog had jumped in the river and we wanted to dry him off a bit before we got in the car. It looked as though the employees were having a meeting. One man looked at us and said, we only have towels with urine on them. We were taken aback a little. I informed him that we had stayed there and paid the $35 pet fee. Your property doesn’t have towels at the desk? It was very off putting. We love The Wren we will stay there again but that guy was a jerk. To reiterate it was not any employee that checked us in or out. They were great! Whoever that other guy is during the morning huddle is not a good representation of your property.
