Handlery Union Square Hotel

Handlery Union Square Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This charming hotel is near Union Square and is three blocks from the Powell Street cable car terminus. A public parking garage is one block away and is approximately half the daily cost of hotel valet parking."

Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

8/10 Good
"We stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf and would stay again. The location is the best part: it's an easy walk to Pier 39 and the train stations, so getting around was simple. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The staff were friendly at check-in, and everything went smoothly enough that we didn't need to talk to them after that. The outdoor fireplaces were a highlight and a really nice place to hang out in the evening. Breakfast was good, though very busy, so expect a crowd. The hotel bar was usually busy too, and it took a while to get a drink. Overall, a solid choice if location matters most to you."

Parc 55 San Francisco - A Hilton Hotel

Parc 55 San Francisco - A Hilton Hotel

8/10 Good
"I had some difficulties getting my room. I had reserved in May and it took the hotel until six o'clock to get it resolved. It would be worse if I hadn't run into friends staying there at the same time. The hotel manager did comp me the breakfast buffet as consolation for the lengthy check-in so I am grateful. Another complaint I had was the hotel had HBO channels locked for some reason. Every time I tried watching thrm, it brought up a Direct TV notice. I am not sure if there was this was meant to be an upgrade or something, but I've stayed at other hotels in the area before and they've freely provided premium channels, it was just unusual for the stay. I only really watched TV for the first night of my stay so it's not that bad. Otherwise, I did like the hotel and its amenities. I did love taking a bath again and the faucet was made for either bath or shower. Makeup mirror came in handy for before venturing out on the big day and the AV setup of the TV, while not used, was appreciated. I will stay again, just hoping they make improvements on the check-in process."
