The upstairs features 3 bedrooms. The Primary King suite includes a private bathroom with a shower, an area with a Queen bed and desk. The sliding glass doors in the primary bedroom overlooking the canal and includes a bistro table for your morning coffee. Upstairs also includes the Egret bedroom featuring a queen bed, tv, and a sliding glass door to the back porch. This room shares a bathroom with the Flamingo Room. Escape to The Salty Pelican, the ultimate getaway for large groups and families. Our stunning canal home can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests, making it the perfect spot for your next reunion, retreat, or vacation. The upstairs level of our home features three spacious bedrooms, including the King suite, which boasts a private bathroom with a shower, a sitting area with a queen bed and desk, and sliding glass doors that open up to a bistro table overlooking the canal. The Egret bedroom features a queen bed, TV, and sliding glass door to the back porch, while the Flamingo room sleeps up to 5 guests comfortably on two full-sized beds and a roll-a-way, and includes a TV and a shared bathroom with the Egret room. And for the ultimate game night, our upstairs closet in the Egret room is fully stocked with board and card games. On the lower level, you\`ll find two more bedrooms lining the open breezeway. The Sea Turtle room offers a queen bed and private full bathroom, while the Shark bunkroom sleeps 5 and includes a full-over-full bunk bed with a twin trundle, TV, and private full bath. But perhaps the best part of our home is the incredible outdoor entertainment space. Spend your days and evenings under the breezeway, complete with 1000 sqft of covered area for your enjoyment. Relax on our comfortable patio furniture while watching your favorite shows on our flat-screen TV, or gather around our Polywood dining table that seats 8, multiple Adirondack chairs, 2 chaise loungers, and a cozy couch and chairs. And be sure to open the three garage doors to create an amazing breeze. As the sun sets, plug in the patio party lights and soak up the canal view while playing washers, cornhole, or even cruising the canal on the kayaks. Our downstairs game closet is stocked with outdoor games like sand toys, spike ball, and more for your use during your stay. And when it\`s time to eat, fire up the gas BBQ pit or outdoor griddle to cook up your favorite meals. Dine indoors or out, with another polywood table for 8 on the upstairs porch and a small bistro table outside the master bedroom for your morning coffee. The Salty Pelican also includes a laundry room with an extra refrigerator for your convenience. Park your boat up to 26 ft on the dock and utilize the fish cleaning station to clean your catch. After a swim in the canal or a trip to the nearby beach, rinse off at our outside shower on the dock. The propane tanks were empty upon arrival, the shower in one room leaked, and small things like no dish rack, limited dish towels, and a non-working light at the fish cleaning area added up. When we arrived with our dog there were two others in the street to greet her. The owners were outside so the dogs were not just running loose. After a 3-hour car ride, our dog was happy to have someone to do zoomies with. It was a great start to a nice week. This house is very well equipped if you choose to cook. Nice deck in the back and you could always find shade. The master bed is very comfortable and firm so my usual backaches that accompany travel did not occur. Sounds silly but important to me. I think we have found our go to coast house. I have been looking for a while and it's not easy when you travel with your dog. I always appreciate people that are willing to share their home with dogs they don't know. It's also nice to walk into a home and have no idea a dog has been present. Was able to check in earlier then the check in time. Home was very clean and had all the supplies needed from kitchen to swimming. Great bottom patio not sure if that is what you call that area but lots of room for all of us to enjoy. The grandchildren watch a little bit of TV and listen to music from the TV and with the patio table we were able to sit outside and grill and enjoy the swimming and fishing from the back yard. The grandchildren enjoyed the swimming, fishing, and playing the games that were there. We saw a dolphin within 20 minutes of arriving. Such a beautiful place. We loved it!! Relaxing, fishing, touring, walking & being grateful we were able to just be together. This is what Thanksgiving is all about. We had a shrimp boil instead of turkey and just sat “talking and visiting” with each other. On a couple days of our stay it rained but there was cornhole, hammocks & TV all under cover! Everything we needed to cook several large meals. 5 people in our group own short term rentals and all marveled at how well appointed this place was, right down to the washer boards and cornhole boards.
