This house is rented as a vacation rental. It can also be rented for longer term rentals. For more information please inquire. Originally built in 1970 by Don Juan Brown a Chilean Navigator who truly loved the Ocean. His original concept was to build himself an Ocean Liner in which to be at sea while here in Con Con. Sitting in the Living room or on the deck and looking out to sea it isn't hard to take an ocean voyage of your own, even better with a glass of fine Chilean wine and good company. This two bedroom one bath home is in great shape and is very comfortable for short or long term stays. La Casa comes with a completely equipped kitchen, new stove, oven, microwave. The kitchen has a full ocean view. It is very private and secure. The main bedroom has a Queen sized box spring bed. Windows facing the ocean. The small bedroom has and bunk beds, Ocean View and a door exiting to the deck. The sound of the waves varies from tranquil to thundering. There is one bathroom, recently redone. All services function well and there is a shower bath combination. La Casa has very good Cable TV and High Speed Wi Fi. The Living Dinning room is spacious and open. There is a large dinning table. A sofa and chair in the TV area. it also has two single mattresses in a trundle bed. There is a wood burning stove/fireplace in the living room.The deck is large and extends along the back of the house. The south end is more protected from the sun and elements. The north end is more open and receives a lot of sun. There is deck furniture and a BBQ . The property also has a beautiful garden area with a small lawn overlooking the Ocean. . A perfect place to step out of the house yet stay on the property. All apartments now have access to a new stairway down to Avenida Borgona, the new coastal walkway, bike path and La Playa La Boca. We were treated to that same scene on our last day. The Casa itself is rustic but we found it charming. and the location and view are stunning! It's perfectly located for day trips up and down the coast and we took advantage of that. If you want modern luxury, stay in one of the cookie cutter condos in Vina Del Mar. If you don't mind a little rustico, and want incredible views and location, pick this place!! ##### timothy m. Séjour de 6 nuits en décembre 2016 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Ed N., Palm Desert, CA 10 févr. 2016 #### Spacious with great view Stayed at La Casa Cafe solo for two weeks in January. The house was quite spacious with a large deck which had several seating areas and included a table and 4 chairs as well as a couple of rataan chairs and 2 (low end) loungers. The inside furniture was heavy duty and very functional. Excellent views from every room except the bathroom. Tile floors throughout so slippers or sandals are helpful unless you enjoy "earthing" in bare feet. Comfortable bed in main bedroom and two bunk beds in smaller second bedroom that I didn't use. Kitchen was pretty well equipped with utensils, cookware, dishes and glasses. It also has a blender which I used every day, a new hot kettle which was provided to me when I checked in since the old one had apparently died, toaster oven, toaster, good size refrigerator, and a functional 4 burner gas (propane) stove and oven which lights manually with matches. Cool place to hang out and watch the surfers and activities down below. I did interval running on the beach or adjacent path most mornings. The beach is more dirt than sand and gets its share of litter from the locals. Doesn't compare to Southern California beaches but the sound of the surf from the house, and the setting and view are nonetheless inspiring. It's a 4 minute downhill walk to the beach. Single car attached garage is adjacent to the house with direct access. Very good security for the house and garage. Mark, the owner, and his Spanish speaking henchman Carlos were most helpful. Mark went out of his way to pay his respects and make sure everything was OK. Very nice guy, also originally from California and now living a couple of doors down from the rental house. He bought the properties and has done a good job of turning them into nice rentals. Mark is a very affable, easy guy to deal with and very responsive to emails or direct requests. He promptly refunded my entire damage deposit within two days of my departure. I recommend the house I stayed in, or his other adjacent rentals if they fit your space requirements. You'll love the view and ocean sounds and smells. And maybe you'll like all the seagulls constantly flying about.
