Top Columbia Museum Hotel Reviews
Country Inn Sonora
8/10 Good
"Worked well for a one night stay"
Beautiful home on full acre of privacy just steps away from Columbia State Park
8/10 Good
"This is a freshly remodeled home conveniently located a block away from the historic town of Columbia. I took a stroll to the General Store and evening walks after the tourists left. I was visited a couple times by raccoons outside during the night which set off the security lights. I’m a fan of wildlife though. Enchanting! I would stay here again. The host was very accommodating and kind to let me check-in a bit early."
Private Balcony Overlooking Washington St in Downtown Sonora - Free Parking
10/10 Excellent
"Great location. The hosts have thought of everything. Would DEFINITELY stay again."
Historic Sonora Inn
8/10 Good
"We loved this place so much that we stayed an extra night. The NIGHT STAFF (Viri & Christina: great meeting you!) were SO welcoming, personable and accommodating. This hotel isn’t just like any other chain hotel you can get in any city in the US. It has character specific to Sonora and is historic, yet has all the amenities and necessities of a modern hotel. And it’s right on the Main Street so you always have things to do and see. Only minor complaints are housekeeping came in without knocking and there are no ”do not disturb” door signs, and check out is 11am and if you ask to extend it you only get to 11:30. You can stay longer but have to pay $50 to stay until noon and then a full nights stay if you stay any later. But that’s only a problem if you’re a night owl/sleep in late like us. I will absolutely be back again!!"
Bixel Bungalow- Cottage in Gold Rush Columbia
10/10 Excellent
"Spacious cottage with outdoor patio set to view nature and wildlife. Nice location and very quiet."
Gunn House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I loved our visit to the Gunn House Hotel. We met Harry who is wonderful and very helpful. And he's quite a good chef for morning breakfast. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. We sat outside our room in the evening with our tablets and watched all the cars go by on Washington St. I give an A+ to the staff and Harry for their great hosting. We will be back. Take care for now, Kevin & Debbie."
82 acre Mountain Retreat w/ Pool & Spa near Yosemite sleeps 14
10/10 Excellent
"Best family vacation spot! Came home from the lake everyday and had just as much fun at the house. Played bocce ball, played pool and played in the pool! Everyone had rooms which was awesome! Our “kids” 22-26-35 yr olds are already planning our next time here"
Hot Tub & Mtn Views: Peaceful Columbia Retreat!
8/10 Good
"The overall experience was beautiful. The listing was mostly accurate. We gave it a 4 for accuracy to listing due to their use of the words elegant, refined and remodeled. While the house was nicely decorated and the structures were as described the house had more wear and tear than these words might suggest. The appliances were quality brands, but often so well worn that they were difficult to use. It looked like it was remodeled 5- 10 years ago and is in need of some attention (paint peeling on baseboards, deck, half broken hot tub, stained outdoor chair cushions). Overall, great for a family house or summer retreat, but more worn than the elegant, refined and remodeled words convey. It is also in need of a deep clean, with the sofa in need of a vacuuming and the fans showing thick layers of dust. Beautiful view, windows and open spaces. Very close to the historic town of Columbia, we had a great time overall."

"We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It’s very close to town, but also feels a world away!"
