Hotel clean but dated. Bathroom very small . Also bath tub need a bath mat to avoid a slip in the shower. Air conditioning in wall. Staff very nice and helpful at breakfast.

Great buffet breakfast with made to order eggs/omelettes), pool area and fireplace was very relaxing in the evening! Rooms could use updating (stained carpets, tarnished fixtures, paint chipping, fraid blinds, etc). Beds & pillows were very comfortable.

ROOMS could be Cleaner, clead the Door hands had Blood on ours, dusty, clean around Toilet would be nice, But we have stayed here alot.

This is our go to place when we stay overnight in Colorado Springs. Its family friendly and the complimentary breakfast with made to order omlets is amazung. Great price and easy access.

We love staying at this property. It is easy to get to off of the interstate. The rooms are nice and spacious. Some have recliners. The breakfast is great. The restaurant has great food at a great price and it is right in the hotel.

We stayed at the hotel a year ago and the inside pool had the smell of chlorine in the entire lobby... It was MUCH better this year... the staff was very friendly... It looks like it is slightly out of date...maybe a face lift...a little brighter.

The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was nice. Sitting by the fireplace after a long day of sightseeing was great. Morning breakfast was tasty and the staff always ready with warm greetings. I recommend The Academy Hotel to all who seek a cozy surrounding.

The pictures looked nice. Wasn’t expecting to be right off the interstate. Made my reservation with a Venmo credit card and then was told when checking in they don’t take Venmo, I reassured her it was a credit card but she said it didn’t matter, thankful I had another means of paying. Stairs on one side of the building and an elevator for the other side but not connected so if you’re on the side with the stairs get ready to haul everything up and down by hand. Same girl that checked us in we had to wait for her to get done texting so we could ask her a question. Walks so thin we could hear the people next door coughing all night loudly for hours. Homeless people living in the bushes out back that yell at you just for walking to your car. Breakfast was wonderful though. Game room is just a small little closet looking like room.

This was a decent property. It was a little dated but it was clean and quiet. Had a good breakfast. The staff was amazing. Every interaction I had with employees was great! It was easy to get to and the interstate was easily accessible. There is a Walmart extremely close and lots of restaurants. We had a Mountain View room and while it was a nice view of the mountains, the hotel behind it appeared trashy and filthy (literally trash all over) so that distracted from the view. There were many people walking around and hanging out in that parking area. This is the reason I didn’t give more stars:(

My first impression was that I made a very bad choice of hotel. Check-in process was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful but the lobby was very hot. I was told later the AC in the common areas was out and had been for a long time. The room was great and the stay would have been a 5 star except for the aforementioned AC issue. The bar and restaurant were too hot to really sit and enjoy for any length of time. Again, the staff was great and attentive.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a lot of shopping within walking/driving distance. Easy highway access as well. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The lobby entrance and pool was nice. Had a rustic kinda vibe. The bed was comfortable! The bathroom was an issue: 1) Toilet had difficulty flushing especially for #2. 2) Shower water temp and pressure was like using a camping facility. It was either way too cold or a sudden blast of hot. So it was hurry and get out moment! 3) The make-up mirror was broke and useless.

I really enjoyed my stay. You could tell the building was older but they did a good job of upkeep and revamping. The atmosphere was beautiful. The hotel was easy to get to and close to a lot of amenities. The daily free breakfast was better than any hotel breakfast I have ever had. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room had many amenities that even more expensive properties. Bigger TV, a power recliner in the room. The room rate includes a marvelous free breakfast with stations for cooking fresh omelets, fresh made to order Belgian waffles, plus sausage, French toast, scrambled eggs, etc.

This is our usual stop when we travel between Texas and Montana. We enjoy the wonderful breakfast. This is the only time that our room’s internet was super slow and the AC is loud. But we will still come back to this hotel. I especially like their large nice lobby area and hard floor pet friendly rooms. I’ve looked at a lot of hotels that have pet friendly rooms, but they are carpeted. That is very unsanitary to me.

Hotel was nice. Check in service was amazing! The beds are extremely soft. The sink and tub took a while to drain at times. Some staff members kind of rude but the others make up for it. Pool was cleanwd regularly! Family-friendly.
