Set on 5 acres, this tranquil retreat offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, providing an ideal getaway for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Located just 20 minutes north of Divide, you'll have easy access to both serenity and local attractions. **The Space:** - **Main Floor**: - **Bedrooms**: 2 spacious bedrooms, each featuring a King-size Casper brand bed, Smart TV, and electric fireplace. The large master bedroom has high ceilings with beautiful skylights and a spiral staircase that takes you up to the spa room in the loft. We call the second bedroom on the main floor the view room, because of the stunning view of trees and mountains out the large west facing windows. - **Bathrooms**: 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath, all pristine and well-appointed with fresh towels, robes and complimentary toiletries. The master bathroom is attached to the bedroom and includes a walk in shower, dual sinks, and toilet closet. The second full bathroom on this floor is located off the den room and includes a classic shower/tub combo and the laundry area. A little over 2 hrs from Denver International Airport, about an hour from Colorado Springs Airport, 45 min drive from Colorado Springs, 30 min to Woodland Park, and 20 min from Divide. **Additional Information:** - Suitable for families, couples, reunions, girls trips, fishing trips, and more. - If you have 8 adults plus children traveling with you please reach out, we can most likely accommodate your group still. - Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Early check-in can sometimes be accommodated upon request. - An AWD/4WD vehicle is required to navigate the driveway during winter months due to snow. The driveway is fairly steep and has a tighter turn in it so we advise if you do not have an AWD/4WD vehicle to park at the top of the driveway. - We have a snow removal company that plows the driveway if it snows over 2in. - RV parking is not available on the property. - No smoking of any kind allowed. - We frequently have wildlife visit the Cabin at Sunset Grove. - We do not have central air conditioning, it’s not commonly found in homes at this elevation (around 9,000ft). We do have a portable swamp cooler, but usually opening the windows and running the ceiling fans will keep the cabin cooler in July and August. - In the winter months we have central heating in the cabin with 2 wood burning fireplaces and electric fireplaces in every room making it very cozy. - Kid and baby friendly: toy chest, pack-n-play, kids cups/plates/silverware, baby chair that attaches to the table, baby gate. We have been told this is a great cabin for hind and seek. - Accessibility to the main level: If you park in the upper parking spot there are 5 wide steps down to the front patio, then two steps up to the patio, and another two up to enter the cabin on the main floor. The master bathroom has a walk in shower. Happy to answer any questions about access if you want to reach out before you book. - Live fires outside are strictly prohibited. In case some only read the first couple lines, and not the entire review - the best words I can say is BOOK THIS PROPERTY! You will not regret your decision. I am 54 years old and have lived/travelled all over the world, and this is hands down one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. The cleanliness, hot tub, game room are all outstanding and as indicated in the listing. Although there was absolutely nothing we needed because the house has everything, Jerry, the host was extremely responsive and was eager to help make our stay the best it could be. The kitchen specifically was the kind of kitchen every guest of this house will immediately want to swap with their own. You will struggle to find a kitchen as well equipped as the kitchen in this vacation home. The cookware, bakeware, glassware, china, flatware, and complete set of Blackstone tools are all high-end. In addition, the kitchen is equipped with high end coffee maker, french press, water boiler, ninja blender, food processor, etc. The Blackstone is a great addition for cooking breakfast or anything else on the deck. The kitchen is complete with non-perishables that most vacation rentals do not have and must be purchased, such as a well-stocked spice rack, cooking oils, coffee, and kitchen essentials such as gladware, plastic wrap, zip lock bags. The views are stunning; the home is massive and welcoming. It literally has everything you could possibly need. We truly felt at home our entire stay. It was remote and peaceful- exactly what we were looking for. We’re already talking about going back and taking our family. Jerry was wonderful and accommodating. It was truly a perfect experience. The beds are comfortable with ample pillows, there’s robes and soft towels, and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. There’s a toy chest and games and puzzles, and the hot tub is lovely. It’s on a dead end dirt road so very quiet and surrounded by trees. The rooms are lovely and there's a good indoor play area for children. The location is totally private and quiet. This place had everything! Stocked spice cabinet, waffle maker, crock pot, coffee, butter, all the kitchen items you could think of, very well stocked. It was so nice that all of the beds were king size and everyone slept well on the mattresses. Also the fact that all the bedrooms had TV’s with access to streaming services was awesome. We ventured out to the Colorado wolf and wildlife center (only 20 min away) such a neat experience, you can even interact with some animals, the foxes were so cute. The house was also stocked with games so we were never bored. Also LOVED the tub upstairs, so nice to soak, be careful the water does get hot.
