This secluded home sits nestled in the side of a hill on 3 acres of land, surrounded by aspens and pine trees, overlooking the Florissant Heights valley near Crystal Peak Mountain and with views of Pikes Peak! The enormous wall of 10 windows leading gives a 28' tall panoramic view of nature surrounding the home. The wood cladded vaulted ceiling in the living room provide a grand open space to relax. There's a hot tub that fits 6-8 on the 1300 sqft of deck wrapping around 3 sides of the home. A grill for barbecuing and seating all around allow for outdoor entertaining and fun on a beautiful summer evening. 1100 sqft of patio is perfect for lawn games such as giant jenga, beanbag toss (cornhole), and more! There's even a tire swing and a hammock for relaxation! While you can't see them from inside the home, in the hot tub, or on the deck/patio, full-time neighbors live across the road and just down the way. So while it's secluded, you don't have to worry about being isolated. Inside you'll find the master bedroom loft overlooking the living room and amazing mountain views as you open your eyes in the mornings. ☀There's a wood burning fireplace to cozy up to on cold winter nights ❄⛄ and we have a TV with DISH satellite coverage, a 💿 DVD player and VCR for watching a big selection of movies, and even an original NES 🎼!! For those looking for cell phone coverage this is the spot as we get coverage with most major cell phone carriers (Verizon works the best, AT&T not so much). The fully stocked kitchen is plenty big to work together preparing meals and the dedicated dining room has seating for everyone to sit together and enjoy the home cooked meal. Plus we've stocked board games ♟đŸŽČ and some books 📕📗📘, as well as a pool table đŸŽ± in the basement for more indoor entertainment. You're only about 25 miles away from Woodland Park and around 15 min away from groceriesđŸŽđŸ„‘đŸŒœđŸ…đŸ„•đŸ„šđŸ„“đŸ„žđŸ„©, liquor stoređŸș, dining, etc. There's tons of hiking trails, state parks, and the Wolf Sanctuary (đŸșthe wolf encounter is an experience you'll talk about for yearsđŸș) all nearby. Cripple Creek is not far for casino gambling and you're about 90 minutes away from Breckenridge for skiing. 11 mile reservoir is only about 30 minutes away for fishing and boating. Of course, as with anytime you go outside theses days, there are risks of getting sick and there's no way for us to guarantee a "hospital operating room" level of sterile for your stay. However, we have our cleaner following the CDC's recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting the property. She's doing wipe downs of surfaces (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks) with disinfectant, deep cleaning the sheets, towels, and doing everything within reason we can do to ensure our guests are safe. Please consider getting trip protection insurance to protect yourself in case of a need to cancel. There are trip insurances out there that will cover you for any reason, including COVID-19 related reasons. Note that there are exterior cameras around the property to watch out for animal life and for security. They do not overlook the hot tub or any other private areas. For guest privacy, there are no cameras on the inside of the property. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing we would say is the interior needs a bit of an update, and the photos make the apartment look nicer than it actually is in real life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s incredible, but some of the furnishings feel a bit old. Deer come right up to the deck each morning and night. I am not sure why others have made comments in their review about the cabin needing improvements. I disagree. It’s a cabin in the mountains. You should not expect this to be the equivalent of a penthouse suite in a downtown hotel. It’s an amazing mountain cabin. Any questions we had, Conrad was quick to answer. The home was equipped with two washers and two dryers which was nice if you have quite a few people staying. The bath towels did need to be washed when we arrived bc they had a terrible odor to them, but that was a simple fix. There is no central air or heat, just a small window type unit in the living room. We stayed late August to early September and the weather was gorgeous. Having the windows open was enough to keep the home comfortable without needing to use the small unit in the living area, but I’d imagine it can warm up pretty good during the summer months. Overall my family really enjoyed the home and the location. We wanted remote, in the mountains, and that’s exactly what we got staying here. Our kids (ages 7,5 and 1) had a fantastic time exploring the outdoors and playing with the books and games provided by the home. Giving 4 stars for a few things but would still recommend, we truly did enjoy our stay! PROS:The views are amazing! Quiet secluded place, with hardly any neighbors near by. Wildlife around; chipmunks, hummingbirds & deer. Hot tub & pool table! Both were super fun & sold us on this rental!Grill & picnic table outside were perfect for saving some money and eating at home a few nights! Dining room table inside was also large & nice!Nice gas fire pit with lots of comfy chairs, we made s'mores a few nights!Every time we needed something the property manager was quick to respond. CONS:You can see in the photos, but the master bedroom is open to the living room below, no wall or door. The master bathroom is also open to the bedroom, no door.The listing says shampoo in bathrooms, there was no products besides hand soap. Thankfully we packed our own so wasn't a big deal but take note.We had a few small issues with the house; master shower wouldn't drain, no kleenexes, the kitchen was not very stocked.The front door doesn't shut well. It seems like a safe area but I would consider this the biggest issue. We used a barstool to prop under it at night to add extra security. Secluded, yet had neighbors near by. The deck was huge and the view of the mountain ranges was tremendous. Pikes Peak in the morning was unbelievable. Hot tub was clean and wonderful, gas fire pit on the lower patio under the stars was also wonderful. Bathrooms were a "bit" aging but clean. Kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. We will likely stay again the future. Host was prompt in answering questions. We didn't have any issues to address. ##### bff minecraft squad b. The views are awesome, loved the big deck in front for mountain gazing and watching the wild life. The deer came and went, and lots of little chipmunks darting everywhere, so cute. Also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, grilling, and we roasted marshmallows by the gas fire pit every evening. The kids thought that was a highlight. They also played a lot in the basement, and explored the yard. All in all just a wonderful place to relax and unwind! SĂ©jour de 3 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Kaushik P. 31 juill. 2025 Points faibles : PropretĂ© We booked this cabin for a 70th birthday gathering for my family, including grandparents, parents, and multiple grandkids, and while the property and location are absolutely beautiful, there were number of things that marred our trip and overall experience. The water stopped functioning twice during our stay and we had to fix it, the front door lock malfunctioned and kept us outside with babies at one point, and the trash was not collected due to delinquent payment notice. There were unsafe items, particularly for kids that needed maintenance, like sharp broken tiles, glass and exposed nails. There were glaring oversights, like exposed metal bed frames in the kids bedroom, and dirty carpets. To Conrad's credit, he talked us through the water problem remotely, and was responsive to us when we reached out, but there were recurrent issues with the cabin, and the stay. The location is absolutely beautiful, the cabin was the perfect size for our group, but ultimately there are things the owner needs to attend to. ##### Kaushik P. We definitely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The view was amazing, and the house was filled with games, a pool table, a corn hole set, etc. which were a lot of fun to use. The place could use a little TLC to remove broken lawn furniture, extra countertop appliances (like 4 coffee makers—some probably not functional), games with missing pieces, a wine glass that somebody melted and left in the cabinet, worn out couches, and mini blinds that had to be manually tilted open. There was also a sign on the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom stating that it should not be used. That didn’t matter to us because we didn’t want to use it anyway, but if it needs to be repaired, that should be done or it should be removed from the advertisement. Also, one of the bedrooms had boards laying against one of the walls, and a highchair halfway in a closet and halfway in the room. It just didn’t look as nice as the rest of the house.We definitely would recommend the property if you’re looking for something away from a lot of people and you don’t mind driving on roads that are a little rough. It just might be a good idea for the owner to do an inventory and clean out some things that should be thrown out or replaced. ##### Barbara G. Our 3 families had a great time here and really enjoyed the peaceful location. We spent a ton of time at the firepit and on the patio. The owners were very responsive and helpful. I did not use the hot tub because there were so many other things to do. They have a gas fireplace which we were allowed to use, however we chose not to as to not to risk any unintentional fires due to a red flag fire ban for most of our week stay. A few things our host should improve on; maintenance and modifying the description as it is a little misleading. There was a decent amount of dust on the furniture and floors and there were also some cob webs throughout the living spaces. The humidifiers needed to be cleaned prior to first use. All the bathrooms did not have soap and shampoo as described. I knew the master bedroom was loft style, however a wall or door should separate the master bathroom from the bedroom. The lack of a wall resulted in the master bathroom being useless when other people were home, unless you didn't mind the noises or smells.There were a few things that were broken, these items should be removed or replaced, the outdoor tower heater along with some seating was found under the deck damaged. The rail for the master bed and a sofa was also broken. The fire extinguisher was empty and there was a 12" x 24" patch of sheetrock missing in the laundry room. I have some before and after images of the spaces or items I cleaned. Hopefully the host takes this constructively and not defensively as previous reviews have shown. ##### Aleem B.
