  • Welcome to the Stratton House; a slice of mountain life that sits steps away from the Broadmoor, Seven Falls, Stratton Open Space, and several exquisite dining experiences, as well as countless other conveniences that you might want on your mountain getaway. After a few relaxing days, you will never want to leave the rich colors and lush forest of the Cheyenne Canyon. Enjoy bird watching, hiking from the front door to open beautiful surrounding open space, biking, sight seeing and if you rare lucky, an occasional bear or dear sighting. On the property, you will find a brand-new, state-of-the-art kitchen, beautiful oak floors, sensational furnishings, kids bunk and TV lounge, an outdoor fireplace, creekside dining, and an outdoor hot tub hidden among the trees. Indoor rock features, the heated-floor sunroom, and the historical, turn-of-the-century yurt provide the Stratton house with an intimate and charming aura. Come indulge in a nap in the hammocks underneath the Ponderosa pines or open a bottle of wine creekside while you relax and breath in the refreshing mountain air.

Can’t express how amazing this place is. We travelled to the area with extended family and the property comfortably fit all ten of us. Each room is special and unique and the shared common spaces ate equally inviting. Would love to return in the summer to fully enjoy the outdoor space near the running creek. Amazing experience overall and extra shout to our host for checking in and making sure everything was running smoothly.

We had a wonderful stay! We were close to so many of the areas attractions. The creek running through the property was my favorite thing. You could sit anywhere outside and listen to it. Caren was very accommodating when we asked for an early entry and responded quickly to any questions. I highly recommend staying here!

Great property for a group

Fantastic stay at this beautiful and unique property. A group of colleagues stayed for a conference at the Broadmoor and I appreciated how isolated the bedrooms felt from each other, allowing for more privacy than expected. Would definitely stay again!

This is our favorite VRBO and we travel often. We took grandma this time and she fell in love as well. Enjoyed every minute. Be sure to spend time hanging out at the property. Caren is wonderful to work with.

The property is spectacular all around. The location is close to all the attractions, restaurants, and beautiful hiking. The property is thoughtfully put together inside and out. The outside is like an oasis with the babbling creek, hammocks, and back patio with tons of entertainment. The inside is ready to host a family (or two) with games, large dinning table, and lots of gathering places. Our family loved the house. You can feel every ounce of care Caren puts into the property. Over all a great place to stay while attending a work event at the Broadmoor. Well equipped kitchen for preparing meals, comfortable sleeping arrangements and the hot tub is a plus. Deer in the neighborhood greeted us each morning!

Excellent home and location for family vacation

Beautiful home located near all of the Colorado Springs attractions. This was by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. The home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owner is very responsive. We would highly recommend this home.

Delightful

Everything about our stay was delightful! The house and grounds were perfect. Our family was all together for a wedding weekend at the Broadmoor. It was so nice to come back home after a long day and spend time in the hot tub. The matching plaid robes were an added perk.

Stay for USAFA graduation

We stayed over the week of USAFA graduation and it was a perfect retreat for our family from the craziness of all the graduation activities. We really appreciated the long table off the kitchen which was able to seat all 8 of us, plus three other guests for dinner who weren’t staying there with us. The beds were especially comfortable! The outdoor space in the backyard is really great and the host was very friendly and communicative throughout our stay!

Annual Family Reunion

Every summer we meet our daughter and her family along with our son and his family in an interesting, exciting and entertaining location We were not disappointed with our stay on Stratton. The 2nd floor bunkhouse was perfect for our 4 grandchildren and the 3 bedrooms plus the Yurt was great and comfortable. Location was very convenient to our intended destinations. Our host was very responsive to our few questions. If you intend to visit Colorado Springs this would be a great place to stay.

In the middle of it all

This house is perfectly located in Colorado Springs for any activity you could want. Seven falls is no more than 10 minutes away and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is even closer. We had a great stay at the house for the weekend for a family reunion that was held at the Broadmoor, which, like everything else, was only a short walk from the house. Caren was a great host and I highly recommend this property.

INCREDIBLE HOUSE!

This house was amazing. Beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you could ever need. Caren was super easy to work with. Very responsive and accommodating. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was nice to have starter amenities for our stay (trash bags, soaps, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, etc)! We would love to return to this property. Oh...and we loved how close it was to the Broadmoor and the coffee shop, Sacred Ground!

We stayed at this property with two families that included kids ages 10-16. This house is conveniently located near grocery stores and nearby attractions (Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, etc.) This was one of the most unique properties we have stayed at through VRBO with the rock built into the sunroom and the yurt in the backyard! We used games provided, bean bags, and the kids enjoyed exploring in the creek nearby. This was an excellent find!

Better than the Broadmoor!!!!

Came to CoSpgs for a wedding at the Broadmoor, but the BEST part of my visit was staying at this VRBO. We had 5 adults from 26-92. Clean, comfortable, close to trails, grocery store, and restaurants. The home is a dream setting with a creek along the side, great fireplace in back with comfy seating all around. Enjoyed sitting around the roaring fire with the water running through the creek as an accompaniment. Lovely! Better than I anticipated!
