"We were a group of three adults and six children that stayed in the house for four nights. We loved this great place that is tucked away in the greenery and has stunning views. Mauro, the owner is very friendly and helpfull. There is a pizza oven outdoors and a huge table so many can eat together. It is well equipped and had everything we needed. We went for day trips to Lucca, Pisa and Isola Santa Lake. "It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. "The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"
