The neighborhood, though not centrally located for university access, was close to downtown and south Duff businesses plus convenience stores and several restaurants. « Rooms decent. Property itself bad. Cool, elevator, vending machines all out of order. If you just want to bed to stay in, this is a great cheap place to stay. Rooms were clean, but like every motel needed updating, but clean. Nobody at the front counter, communication between employees and host was poor, had trouble with my VRBO reservation.If it’s just me, not my family, I would stay here again just for the price and it’s proximity to Iowa Speedway »

As we were all coming from out of state, we were happy to have a place we could all be together (and save money by cooking instead of eating all our meals out). « Our family stayed here for a family reunion. The house was very comfortable in size and temperature control (It was a hot, humid weekend.) Check-in was easy. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table and the playground out the back. We all enjoyed the patio complete with the flower boxes. The host was readily available. I would stay here again and would recommend this to anyone who needs a house to accommodate a group of 10 or so. »

« Our family was in Ames competing in the National Senior Olympics. The location was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay in Iowa. The house was clean, the beds very comfortable, and our host was very attentive to our needs. We were greeted with snacks, water, and sports drinks for our competition.
