It is your home in Tuscany, furnished with the grace and love of those born there.
It will allow you to breathe the familiar and peaceful atmosphere of an ancient medieval village.
You can admire the Castle, which welcomes you with the grandeur of its walls, the Civic Tower, the Cathedral and the Palazzo del Campana.
The panorama of the green countryside and the garden will allow you to rest and enjoy special moments of quiet and silence

  • Cascate del Diborrato - Parco fluviale dell'Elsa Inside the residential area of Colle Val d'Elsa is a historic and natural landscape of enormous value thanks to the Elsa River which crosses the Val d'Elsa creating a unique territory. The river creates enchanting corners for hiking and observing: the engineering works for gathering water, the artifical canal system for carrying the water to the city, the caves. A particularly suggestive point is the Diborrato water falls, a 15m jump which is more than 10m deep, a sort of small lake where the locals used to go to cool off. Other places not to miss are the Grotta dell'Orso, the Conchina, the Masso Bianco, the Nicchia and the Spianata dei Falchi, each with its own particularities. This natural richness has been recognized with the institution of a protected area in the River Park of the Upper Val d'Elsa which includes the path of the river from the city of Colle Val d'Elsa which stretches from Ponte Santa Giulia to Ponte di Spugna and includes the Caldane, thermal springs which were known to the Etruscans and Romans.

This was such a great find! We loved the experience of living in the heart of the old city, and found Colle to be charming, interesting, and not overrun by tourists. The home itself is lovely (it's got its quirks, like slightly iffy plumbing, but is clearly a beloved home with a charming personality), with wonderful views, comfortable spaces, and a kitchen that works fine for cooking at home if desired. Communication with Laura was good and the check-in and checkout process were easy. Grazie mille, Laura!

Das Haus ist voll möbliert, bietet dennoch Platz. Es liegt mitten in der malerischen Altstadt. Fürs Ausladen kann das Auto ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernt kurzzeitig abgestellt werden. Geparkt werden muss es ca. 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Am Haus ist ein großer Garten mit Weinreben, Pflaumen- und Kakibaum und Kräutern. Der Garten ist das absolute Highlight! Allerdings könnte er etwas gepflegter sein. Einfachste Plastikstühle, die wahrscheinlich schon Jahre alt sind, dürften zudem gegen hochwertigere Möbel ausgetauscht werden. Im Garten gäbe es noch viel Potential! Es wäre wichtig, wenn die Gäste bei der Einweisung erfahren würden, wie es mit der Müllentsorgung in der Altstadt funktioniert. Anwohner haben Zugangskarten für Müllcontainer am Rand der Stadt. Touristen müssen ihren Müll in kleinen Abfallkörben in der Altstadt entsorgen, die eigentlich dafür nicht vorgesehen sind. Größtes Manko im Haus des Fotografen sind die Toilettenspülungen. Eine Toilette ist quasi nicht nutzbar, da der Spüldruck zu gering ist. Die andere Toilette braucht 10 Min. bis sie wieder einsatzfähig ist. Das ist inakzeptabel und müsste dringend instandgesetzt werden. Überhaupt sollte unbedingt ins Haus investiert werden, dann könnte es ein absolutes Schmuckstück sein. Sicherlich wäre es dann auch teurer in der Vermietung.

Undiscovered jewel

This is a lovely village and an exceptional house. The kitchen was large and cool as it was on the bottom floor. The garden was a delight and we spent many hours dining al fresco sipping local wine. One caution is if you do not like stairs, this might not be your best location for you as there is a flight of stairs from the bedroom on the top floor to the main bathroom on the second floor and another flight to the kitchen. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed this accommodation. It was my partner's favorite of our entire 3 week trip.

Lovely house in historic town

The house is spacious, interesting and has everything needed for a holiday. The garden is a huge bonus - room to relax with a view (and grapes on the vine!). It was a joy to stay in an historic house in such an interesting town, with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a delicious meal at the owner’s restaurant too.

Stay within the castle walls

My husband and I spent 3 days at the Photographer’s house. It is very spacious, has a lovely back yard, it is very quiet and close to restaurants. Lorenzo was very helpful and informative. It was quite the experience. We loved our stay!

Wunderbares Ferienhaus mit schönem Garten in der historischen Altstadt von Colle di Val d'Elsa

Wir hatten eine angenehme Woche in Colle di Val d'Elsa. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet, geräumig und die Zimmer verteilt über 3 Ebenen. Sehr gute Restaurants sind in der Nähe und Siena, San Gimignano und Volterra innerhalb von 30 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Great Location !

Conveniently located in hilltop town, with multiple (excellent) restaurants within short walking distance. Easy to get to Florence/Siena Autostrada, San Gimignano, etc. Spacious property with garden and views - well equipped. Very enjoyable.

House of the photographer in Colle di Val d'Elsa

We spend a wonderful 2 weeks in this house, situated in the middle of the medieval town of Colle di Val d'Elsa. The owner and her son (who speaks perfect english) were wonderful hosts. The check in was easy, short and grisp as well as check out and change of towels and bed linnen at the middle of our stay. All the restaurant recommendations where perfect and in walking distance from the property. The pictures of the property you find on the homepage here on fewo-direct.de are a 1:1 presentation of how the property looks and feels. The location is perfect for trips to Siena, Florence, San Gimigniano and other pretty places in Tuskany and Chianti. If we decide to further explore this area we defenitely will come back. For people considering this house for their next stay - we only can recommend it and thank Laura and Lorenzo for their warm welcome and caring for us during our stay. They are the perfect host. Picturesque residence with beautiful view

I have been here for a week with my two children. Parking at the house is not possible and therefore we had agreed on a slightly further parking space. The welcome from Laura and her son who speaks English very well was very warm and friendly. She showed us the house and everything looked well cared and clean. Then she took a photo of our passports and I paid the tourist tax (15 euros). It is a beautiful spacious house with three floors and a beautiful garden with various fruit trees and grape plants. Despite the very hot week (approx. 35 degrees) the house was fairly cool due to the thick walls. We always had the windows open to ventilate, I did not use the mobile air conditioning in the bedroom. In the large cozy kitchen downstairs, with access to the garden and the beautiful view, we spent the most time. Just like the rest of the house, the kitchen is completely furnished and I have cooked several times. The fridge is Italian style and not as cold as I am used to at home. With my height (190 cm) I had to be careful when walking underneath a few low crossbars. Also the shower didn't quite fit my height. We have not seen much of Colle Val d'Elsa, but we did enjoy a few delicious meals at Santa Caterina (café and pizzaria). We have made trips to San Gimignano, Florence and Siena.
